Having adown day
Sorry girls! Take no notice! Most of my probs are to do with refusal to grow old gracefully! Cannot take the failure of the epidural to reduce the pain, not unendurable but wearing! And I drink too much red wine! It is OK! only a bottle or two a week, as daughter of a 'heavy drinker' and an alchoholic

Time taken
It's taken 4 and a half years for me to be diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I am adjusting to pregabalin, cipralex alongside lanzrapole and epilim chrono as I am an epileptic aswell. In little over 14 months I have went from reasonably able, to completely unpredictable with routine, sleep, diet, the ibs

can anyone give me some advice on Symbicort turbohaler?
Hi all :) Yesterday I was prescribed a budesonide/ formoterol (200/6) turbohaler. I used it last night and this morning and both times I've noticed a gritty feeling in my throat afterwards. Am I doing something wrong? It goes away after a few seconds but I've never used a dry powder inhaler like this

off for my assessment next week.
As some of you may know i have been asked by guys hospital if i would do a drugs trial for an inhaler specifically for use with COPD. Having looked at all the info about it ( don't know what the drug is because you are not allowed for fear of influencing the result, but know it is a inhalant and

Oops clumsy!
Just lately I have been very clumsy I've been dropping stuff with the most recent being a chocolate cupcake on the kitchen floor. I've been walking into walls and doors and have 'missed' my chair at work a couple of times. Is this something anyone else has experienced? Oh and one more thing, I am an

Hi, Ive just discovered this community. I have had depression for many years but was only diagnosed about 18months ago.
I am trying different strategies to overcome my feelings of despair, worthlessnes, negativity, lack of motivation the list goes on. These strategies include exercise - I play golf (hence the nick name) and I go to the gym. I like 'me' time where I listen to music and read social network sites such as

How do I help my husband?
I've been suffereing with anxiety for past 5-7 months. Husband seems very apathetic and not with it. He seems to have no energy and isn't sleeping. I am worried that he to may be feeling anxious- and this is why he is unable to suppor me. He lost his job last year- I think he became depressed. I

something new........but not welcome, any advice ?
well, now that I have introduced myself here I thought I'd share and ask for advice regarding a new turn of events. I have always been a worrier to some degree, however there was a time where I would get to a certain point and I would say f**k it ! that certain point has now appeared to disappear, but

Brilliantly simple, simply brilliant!
In recent days Mum seems to have "forgotten" how to drink :-( When we put the cup to her lips instead of putting her lips round the cup she clamps them tight shut and just sits there with the cup resting against her closed mouth. Having just had a catheter inserted everyone keeps telling us how important

First time blogger looking for information.
hello, I'm here looking for information about side effects of meningitis. I had meningitis at the age of 15 and am now 27. I recently turned to the internet to figure out why my memory is so bad and why I act the way I do. Until now I always just thought that I was stupid or mental and berate myself

ECT electroconvulsive therapy... used to be called electro shock therapy
I have been back to my Psychiatrist and reported no improvement in depression/anxiety with Emsam patch-selegiline. This is after numerous attempts with SSRI's and SNRI's. He wants to try lamactil which is used for bipolar and seizures thinking I might be bipolar. If that fails he wants to try ECT.
