How does asthma affect your sleep?
Hi all, You might have seen the sleep survey we are doing as we know so many of you are affected by waking up with your asthma symptoms and there's a gap in our advice and content. To bring the page to life, it would be great if you could share what it's like for you when your asthma interferes with

Any advice on when to take steroids?
Hi everyone. I had a cold last week and it has made my asthma worse. I am coughing up phlegm (white) and it's a bit harder to breathe. However, my peakflow is good. The trouble is that I'm going on holiday tomorrow. I feel like my asthma isn't improving, but it's not getting much worse. I have a course

Asthma/strong reaction to deodorant and perfume?
Hello, I was diagnosed with exercise induced asthma back in 2011 and I am able to manage it very well except for when I have an infection of any kind (because then, a few stairs already count as exercise). Since about 3 years I noticed that also strong smells like deodorant and perfume seem to trigger

Hi there I'm 33 and have had asthma since I was about 8 years old. The past 2-3 years have been a nightmare and every winter, bang on comes the asthma attacks. The thing I find so strange is that most of the time my SATS can be normal even when having an asthma attack they can still be 99%. Also my flow

Sore chest upon exercise
I was diagnosed with asthma May last year. I am on symbicort SMART regime 200/6 2 in the morning and 2 at night. I am on the SMART regime as the GP felt that more appropriate as I had pneumonia 3 times last year. I have salbutamol for dire emergencies. I've never had an asthma attack and although I have

Asthma and GERDS
I have been reading the posts here in regards to the connection between Barrett and Asthma. At 35 I had to go to the hospital as I was having breathing difficulties. The Dr said you have Asthma and gave me puffers. I went through a string of puffers trying to figure out which one worked for me. Through

Enjoy the good times
Hello lovelies I’m writing this from my wonderful holiday in Florida with all the family. While I’m laying on my sun lounger at Typhoon Lagoon listening to the Beach Boys (all theme parked out lol) I’m thinking how lucky and privileged I am to be here, 6 months post first line NED. When we booked it

Newly diagnosed
Hi, I got diagnosed with asthma about a month ago (had it when I was a child but I don't remember). I've had a tough day today with chest pain, rib pain, back pain and headaches. Are these symptoms of asthma? I'm not sure I'm managing it correctly, I also work outside in a city centre which I don't think

Aerotoxic Asthma
I had been very fit, mountaineering and fell walking at least three times a week. I took a trip from Perth, Australia to London and had to be admitted to hospital as an emergency. I have had a form of asthma ever since. (Tracheal asthma) I'd like to discuss this with anyone who has suddenly become

Asthma?
Hi My recent spirometer test improved a lot after I had been given the inhaler salbutamol. On the fast breathing out I had to get to 70. I got consistently to 69. My consultant says I have asthma? I have been taking Fostair and don't seem to need anything else , my breathing seems fine. I just wonder
