Tinnitus/Anxiety
I was diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder in June 2023 which was brought upon by having to wait for a major bowel operation which was eventually carried out in October 2023 which really stressed me out. I was prescribed Citalopram 20mg for my anxiety and I am still on this. In late August 2023 I suddenly

Good Morning people.., Yes, like the proverbial bad penny...here I am again... Welcome to Week 2 in the Changing Room. That first week whizzed by didn't it? Take a seat and do let us know how it is all going, in this strange time after all the Winterval frolics! Well, the weather here is dry... and

Tips and Tricks for Panic Attacks
I’ve been through CBT, grounding, self visualization, etc. I know about rubber bands on my wrists to snap, 333, breathing exercises, sticking my face in ice water, aromatherapy. Are there other methods people are using to help get over active panic attacks? Just want to help each other. Thanks

when does it stop
how do you turn your brain off from constantly going to worse case scenarios? I am on medication and started therapy but damn .. my mind has me dead and homeless and alone and I am none of those things .. trying breathing exercises but can’t even get out of bed most days .. feel so lost …

endo, dessicated, t3, scalp issues/ severe hair loss.
I’m back 😵💫 Mediocre news. been on 60mcg t3 for a while and while it works & have come back to life there are issues. Bloods showed slight hyper so dropped to 50. Genius Nhs refused to test free t3 & ran tests for t4 which of course I don’t have because I don’t have gland anymore (and as private

The Plans may Change...
I am still doing a fair amount of
breathing
exercise
for my anxiety and that is ongoing and used as and when needed.. ( less often now for those pesky panic episodes... ). The YWA Ten minute Balance breathing is splendid and can be done any time.

part cause when I’m anxiety laden I can’t breathe well . Plus I now got allergy and my nose is super stuffed and allergy meds cause dry mouth 😣 . Other than that , Ive been ready since I first was diagnosed and learned what I have .

Oxygen saturation
Based on our experiences the last few days, I wondered if low oxygen saturation is a common issue in PSP?My husband was taken to A&E in an ambulance on Monday - after ECG, blood tests and chest X-ray, it turned out that his chest pains were just muscular and that his heart and lungs were perfectly fine

My Mom needs heart surgery & I'm a terrified, 47 yr old baby
I feel so selfish. My MOM is the one who needs her aortic valve replaced, not me. But here I am, terrified of the upcoming surgery. Terrified of how terrified I'll be. Why can't I reframe my thinking? Why can't I look at this as this will save her?! Quick background: I'm 47, female, never married, no

Should I be more involved?
Good morning everyone. I have only been attached to this forum for a couple of months and right from the start, I was amazed at the knowledge most people have about AF. Talking about atrial flutters, sinus rhythms, ectopics etc. etc. I have paroxysmal AF and something or other to do with an extra heartbeat

ADHD-PI dad + ADHD-PH 4yo boy = Chaos
I’ll try to be brief. We both have ADHD with different classifications. All family goes to therapy. He takes Methylphenidate since 3 months ago and goes to occupational therapy. Also 1mg melatonin for sleep since he started those meds. He showed issues at school since over a year ago. Been kicked out

Breathing
exercise
throughout the day... and finishing with... a relaxing body-scan at bedtime! Okay... That should keep me moving. By nine I had unpacked a shopping order...then I was off to sort med's with the chemist, for Dr OF and pick up a form for him from the GP!

Possibly the worst symptom of Afib
I have had 2 dramatic episodes where my ongoing heart palpitations got worse & went to my collapsing onto the floor for 20 min. I was covered in sweat, unable to move, felt dizzy, nauseous & with a tourniquet sensation on each limb. I have a doctor's followup appointment to discuss my 7 day Holter Monitor

Alternative responses
The details do not matter except that I have been diagnosed with clinical depression in the past. My normal response to situations is to lie down and try to let the mental moment pass. This time I attempted to combine breathing exercises to cease ruminating thoughts. It is not the best approach. Normally

Anxiety way out of control.
Hey there, my anxiety is non stop making my body shake, even if it's small amount I always feel everyday my body shaking. My panic randomly keep happening, usually I need a Trigger like something I'm scared about at the moment but now when I'm calm and listening to music or watching TV, a random out

"Walking: the most ancient exercise and still the best modern exercise “... Part One
By taking it slow and steady, ( what else), and with a short
breathing
focused
exercise
, I settled to sleep. I slept well and deeply. Waking to what would normally be a superb morning to run, I began, whilst still in bed, with a restful set of breathing exercises... and so the day begins!

...One step at a time...
Well.... it has been a while... and I had begun to think that, this time...I was not going to get back. But... as I have said on more than one occasion... it is hard to keep an old snail down. Events over the past weeks have tried their best, to floor me and times still have the potential to be tricky

Our Setbacks simply prepare us for our next Comeback...
Hello everyone... Here I am again.... and I have some ideas that are popping into my head... On C25K forum, where I am for a lot of my running time. I am aware of a few folk asking questions about illness, and injury and in particular getting back to running. For me, right now, I can totally empathise
