Interested in targeted drugs? Here's some basic information
Targeted drugs seem to be the most often prescribed intervention for those of us with ER+ HER2- metastasized breast cancer. Research is even being done to develop a form of palbociclib to use as adjuvant therapy in early BC. However, it seems there remains much to learn about when, and for whom, targeted

Life after cancer
Today it is my four year Metaverssary. There are so many things running through my head about my life now. If I was to compare I don’t know where I would start. So many things have changed for me. Not all are bad, and some of the things, such gifts, that I really needed to experience. Things I would

MBC is so frustrating
My liver is still growing, quickly, which isn't the norm for invasive ductal carcinoma. I am now off fulvestrant and will be going on xeloda try to get these tumors to shrink tomorrow after blood work gets back. My onocologyst wants to do a biopsy of my liver tumors to see if they are my primary's type

An Unusual False-Positive Uptake of Radioiodine Caused by Breast Implants
Posting this simply to let everyone know! If the issue applies, make sure you discuss properly with anyone who wants to give you radioactive iodine. I suspect it will be at the obscure end of the scale. [i]Clin Nucl Med. 2022 Mar 30. doi: 10.1097/RLU.0000000000004165. Online ahead of print.

Has anyone with TP53 changes been diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni Syndrome?
I know TP53 plays a role in diagnosing and treating CLL, but I also found that Li-Fraumeni and TP53 are related. I was wondering if anyone here has been tested and diagnosed with Li-Fraumeni as well as CLL. Here is additional information on Li-Fraumeni: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases

BRCA +ve with OC. The options for breast cancer prevention.
Hello ladies. I am about to complete my frontline chemo for stage 3 OC and I have just been told I am BRCA1+ and so will need breast cancer screening every 6 months with optional prophylactic double masectomy after Olaparib in 2 years. I just wondered what other ladies who are BRCA +ve have done?

Sick again
So every month since I had Covid in December I’ve been sick with something. I had a UTI then the reaction to the new Faslodex and now I’m home sick with the worst cold ever. I don’t know if this is from stress or just my immune system saying quit your job. Anyone have this experience?

Early Stage or In Situ and MBC recurrence
I was diagnosed in situ 7 years ago. I opened for a Mastectomy and reconstruction as my dr said recurrence rate is less than 2 % as opposed to lumpectomy with radiation and approximately 13% recurrence. Seemed like a no brainer to me at 59. They found clusters of cancer cells in one lymph node. Removed
