Chicken pox and shingles!
My grandson has just developed chicken pox today. I was last in contact with him 3 days ago. Am I at risk of getting shingles and should I stay away from him until he is no longer contagious? I am on Methotrexate and Sulfasalazine.

What are the attributes of an effective treatment for PD?
Is a regimen of daily ingestion of Coconut Oil an effective treatment for Parkinson’s disease? If effective means effective cure, then the answer is NO. Is there something better? Again the answer is NO! https://www.michaeljfox.org/glossary.php#nuerons “No currently available treatment for Parkinson's

Hospitalisation and other things
I will do my best to remember that I have this account and try and post on here from time to time.It has been such a long time since I posted on here (just over a year, maybe a little more). This is somewhere I need to remember to post really, as it's a good source for people to find information on

It's been a while....
you might say my
brain
haemorrhage
was major....She was around for the first 10 months after my B.I, then took a step back (her words) and she never stepped forward again. I realise it was difficult seeing her sister so ill, but she walked away and left me and hubby to get on with it.

DBS? . . . . . HELP!
I had an appointment with my neurologist this week. She is a movement disorder specialist and is a big proponent of DBS. I've known this about her since I began seeing her almost 2 years ago. However, we hadn't really discussed DBS prior to this most recent visit. At my appointment she told me that

Does anyone who has had DBS experience sharp, electrical like pains shooting down their legs. If so, can anything be done about it?
I am posing this question on behalf of a friend who has had DBS, but does not use the Internet. He had his DBS operation four years ago and goes for a 2 day assessment in London later this week.
