Blood test comparison vegan vs whole food plant based
I just came across this video of someone who was on a whole food plant based for 2.5 years and returned to a processed vegan diet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHeQNNSlvJw By examining his blood test results it shows that a processed vegan diet has a risk of diabetes. Cholesterol is higher as well

B complex versus individual Bs??
Pursuant to all the good posts about vitamin B1/thiamine HCL, is there a difference or benefit to taking B vitamins individually as opposed to taking a B complex? I've been taking a "super" B complex which includes 100 mg a B-1. Should I switch to taking B1, B3, B6 individually? One other thing I've

What's been your blood sugar experience?
I was diagnosed with PMR in early January. I also did the Hemoglobin A1C test at about the same time. The test indicated that I have just crossed over into the pre-diabetic area. I am a 63 year old male and had just done the test course of Prednisone a couple of weeks before the A1C test. I don't know

Fasting and CLL
I am reading posts from a couple years ago about CLL and fasting. Does anyone have long term results they’ve experienced/ not experienced. My husband is a big advocate of fasting and I am wondering whether it will be useful. Diagnosed May 2018. Still w&w. Thanks!

Can I stop taking metformin?
Since May 2017 I have been reducing my carb intake and also doing intermittent fasting - I skip breakfast. My doctor has taken out Dibizide M from my prescription and I am now on just 250 mg metformin at night. I also do a 36 or 48 hour water fast once a week. My HbA1c has come down to 5.4 from 6.4 and

I know you might feel a bit hopeless after the last blog where I explored why we are all so confused about what to eat. The bottom line: we are confused because we hear conflicting scientific reports, our government

Atorvastatin & PMR is there a connection?
Hi, I was diagnosed with PMR in August 2017. Started on 10mg and now down to 5mg for the second time. I also have familial cholesterol which was diagnosed approx. 10 years ago. So I take 40mg of Atorvastatin every night. is there any clinical evidence that there is a link between statins and PMR. Thanks

Can metformin start causing side effects after you have been taking it for a long time?
I have been taking metformin since this past summer but for the past few months, I have been having really bad shortness of breath to the point of it being painful. I also just found out that metformin can cause b12 deficiency as well as shortness of breath. I will be having my b12 levels checked later
