Itching in hands and feet only - anyone else have this?
Hi folks, I was diagnosed with PBC some years ago now at only 29. I am on urso, my liver seems to be doing really well and I'm generally reasonably healhy except for the itching I have been struggling with for the last 3-4 years. I know those with PBC often suffer "the dreaded itch" but I wondered if

Steroid induced Type 2 Diabetes
I've been diagnosed with Type2 Diabetes. My question is, will it go away when I come off Prednisolone? Has anyone experienced this? I'm only on 3mg now, but assume the damage was done some time ago on the bigger doses. I've been on steroids for 4 years and from 15mg originally.

What does global warming obesity and type 2 diabetes have in common? Healthy eating is part of the solution.
Hi everyone, On the news recently we've had global warming set to rise by 1 1/2 degrees in 12 years and one answer is a diet that is plant based or more plant based. Then we have the never ending rise of obesity in developed countries which's set to be our biggest killer. We also have diabetes type

BUN
My BUN is lower than normal range at 5.55. All liver parameters and other kidney parameters are within normal range. What could have caused BUN to be lower than normal?

No Pain No Gain
With grit determination I accomplished the 9 week conditioning period, at best running 7Km. With combined focus on diet I have lost 8lbs, & to really ice the cake my Type 2 Diabetes medication has been reduced. You would think life is pretty easy now, however.... I have just discovered my running posture

“May contain gluten” ?
What’s your experience with the foods that “may” contain gluten. Example is roasted peanuts. Ingredients: peanuts, sunflower oil, salt. But may include gluten. How careful do we need to be. I don’t have wheat allergy, but i also don’t know to what degree trace amount of gluten effects me. Such as what

Vitamin A Toxic Liver
So I think my fibrosis comes from overuse of vitamin A. I took it for years to treat cystic acne and it did help. But when I was having bad breakouts I took more than I should. I was told it could be toxic by one doctor. I just thought " it's a vitamin, how bad can it be?" And nothing seemed wrong.
