Deferasirax and Ibrutinib
Hi, my ferritin is 900, which is due to repeated blood transfusions , The oncologist has prescribed me Deferasirax 180 mg per day. On the other hand, my ibrutinib is 140 mg due to the take of voriconazole. Is it necessary to change the dose of ibrutinib to take Deferasirax?

MS and Iron deficiency anemia
I was given a
blood
transfusion
and intravenous iron. I had an upper and lower gi which was normal. The combination of MS and anemia has zapped the life out of me. Doctors don’t look at the whole person.

My beloved father and best friend has passed away, he will always be my hero.
My wonderful father Albert Moser passed away May 20, 2023. The last few months have been incredibly hard. After his 4th dose of chemo in February, he had a big bleed from a tumor in his bladder which almost killed him. After a 10 day hospital stay with 12 transfusions and nephrostomy tubes inserted he

Any experiences with D negative blood type?
I’ve recently got my blood results back from first midwife apt (I’m 10 weeks +2 now) and have received a letter saying I need extra tests and that I might need a
transfusion
/ injection if my baby is D positive as my
blood
will be attacking my baby’s red blood cells!

Finally some progress
Those who followed our Journey, know this is such a painful process of grief. Two weeks ago, the hospital wrote it would not change the factual information in my wife's chart. In her chart it had been written she had Biopys proven Nash Cirrhosis, which led doctors looking at ultrasounds that said

EPO testing
Hi, my wife has MF and has been having RBC transfusions reasonably often, I did ask her consultant if he had ever checked her baseline EPO levels, I didn't get an answer. He says she has a chronic bleed, but there is no evidence of passing any blood at all. I have done some research which indicates that

Just needing a bit of a moan. I've had high risk MF now for many years. Last year I was assessed for STC transplant but was told I was not robust enough so as I am now over 70 and resident in Scotland, that is no longer an option for me. No transplants available for the over 70s apparently. I had been

Anaemia
My oncologist told me she’d probably think about a
blood
transfusion
if my haemoglobin count, got any lower. But of course she’s a researcher not a doctor and I don’t know if I even thought to ask her what I should be doing to treat the anaemia. I’ve been eating, dried apricots. Lots of fruit.

the curse of lifelong RLS…
I have had RLS for 33 years, I am 63 now with two grown up daughters. My symptoms first presented when I was pregnant, they were annoying but relatively intermittent and manageable - this is how it continued for many years with symptoms presenting during the night. I coped without medication, massaging
