HRT, low white blood cell count & NDT
She wanted a blood test doing first - I have been taking NDT for about 8 years (doing really well on it) and basically my GP didn't understand it, stopped calling me in for
blood
tests
and I haven't been for years.

refusing treatment how fast do people decline?
He is decided not to go for
blood
tests
that regulate his liver medications, he has decided not to interact with the GP and let himself decline. He has become more tired, his speech slower, clearly signs that the HE is getting worse.

Why can blood tests be so different on retest 4 weeks later & better not to react.
Well 4 weeks ago I had liver tests that showed ALT over the recommended levels.Sent docs & myself into full reaction level.Chat with nurse & pharmacist re diet & medication.Retest results back perfectly fine.On first test Alt 42 s be less than 40 .Today's result 27 without making any changes.Only thing

Is it RA?
He sent me for X-rays and
blood
tests
. CPR was raised, vitamin D slightly lower than recommended at 49. My x-rays showed arthritis in both shoulders and one elbow.....still waiting for my RF to come back.

radiotherapy
Does anyone know if radio therapy (breast) if you’re already on thyroxine might affect levels/
blood

at all? I had radio this week but a test coming up in 6weeks to check levels following a thyroxine increase while on tamoxifen.

Magnesium Supplements to reduce frequency of migraines
I’ve had
blood
tests
before and haven’t been told that I have this deficiency, but I thought maybe I could try magnesium supplements and see if this helps me (especially since I’m in a high stress environment that I cannot avoid at this moment in time - exams).

Made it home ok thanks all. Another day another saga.
However I need
blood
tests
& X Ray first & they were now closed. I told her I would finish my Doxycycline tomorrow & so She sent a prescription for Amoxicillin to Boots electronically. Hubby went to Boots but no prescription so had to go back to the surgery as you can’t call our surgery.

Non invasive testing
with all the different testing that take place, what do people believe is accurate if there Fib4, Apri, NAFLD Fibrosis test and

like elf, Fibrosure, Liverfast. All agree but Fibroscan doesn’t. Who is right? I would say further testing with another imaging.

Endo finally tested FT3! Thoughts?
At my last endo appt early Dec, the consultant kept his same stance that my
blood
tests
were all in range and my symptoms were all due to perimenopause.

Latest results from the INSPIRE project - how doctors diagnose neuropsychiatric symptoms in lupus
Medical
tests
, such as brain scans or
blood
tests
, aren’t very helpful for identifying NP symptoms, particularly some types of common symptoms like headaches or brain fog, but were important in ruling out other causes.

Awaiting phone call from GP
I am on 6 monthly reviews with the consultant,
blood
tests
and ultrasound scan. The ultra sound scans appear to show no portal hypertension/variaces which is good.
