Hi, cortisol blood test advice please
I've finally got my appointment for a cortisol blood test(other blood tests but not sure what) in a couple of weeks. Advice on egg freezing and hysterectomy for severely heavy bleeding
Hi everyone, I'm doing a little bit of research so I can take a huge stack of notes to my next gynaecology appointment, and wondered if anyone was able to share their experiences. I'm looking at potentially freezing some of my eggs, as I have endometriomas. I'm still undecided as to whether I want children

Post Amiodarone and waiting for ablation
I was on Amiodarone for 12 months after diagnosis of persistent AF post Covid and stopped taking it in October '23. I had a cardioversion in June and as far as I'm aware I'm still in sinus rhythm. I'm on the list for an ablation at the John Radcliffe in Oxford. I had a couple of blood tests, at my

T4 not routinely tested
Hi, I am arranging post-hemithyroidectomy blood tests with the GP, and have been told that the lab will only test T4 if TSH reading indicates that it is necessary; wanted to check whether this means that they might miss something. I already know that I have Hashimotos. Thanks for any insight.

Am I really lacking B12?
I was diagnosed with PA around 2018, I had the camera down which confirmed atrophic gastritis, I had positive tests for anti parietal cells and intrinsic factor; so classic PA. My B12 levels were around 300 at the time and not considered low but i was given loading doses and monthly injections. However

Looks Like My Cholesterol Is High, Yikes
I've spent the best part of the day at my local hospital today. I saw my GP as I'd been experiencing increasing shortness of breath over the last week or so and as I had pericarditis last summer I think they wanted to be sure it wasnt anything similar. So I got sent to the one stop shop aka SDEC, same

PSA spiked from .6 to 8.0 in 3 months
The blood test corroborates the MRI that shows spread. I am talking with Dr Goodman in the AM. Am I doomed? My PSA has never been 8. before

B12 Deficiency
Firstly I have it myself and due well on regular injections, however it is very poorly diagnosed and managed in this country, patients popped onto pills when they should be having jabs. 1. https://pernicious-anaemia-society.org/articles/nice-cks-b12-deficiency/#:~:text=Initially%20administer%20hydroxocobalamin

Probably had fibro for over a decade, new diagnosis few months ago. Bitter/sweet diagnosis, I feel 'seen' in some aspect, having had blood tests etc for years without any suggestion of a reason for feeling widespread pain & low mood/energy. So to get a possible reason, was weirdly somewhat of a validation

Central Hypothyroidism
I had a blood test at a hospital (for unrelated reasons) and it showed my TSH as 1.12 and my Free T4 as 10.2. The haematology department wrote to my GP asking for a repeat of the tests and if they remain abnormal, to refer me to an endocrinologist. The results came back from the GP's lab as 1.15 and
