I had a gastroscopy in march to test for celiac as i had a very high positive blood test, I received a letter this morning saying that it was positive for celiac and that he is happy to discharge me back to my GP for management of my celiac disease, So my question is what will happen next? Or should

Thickened water for dysphagia…any other suggestions?
My 65 yo HWP has had dysphagia added to his list of symptoms a few months ago so has been put on thickened water etc to hopefully avoid aspiration pneumonia. I feel like the nagging wife as I’m all the time telling him to drink more water as he seems to avoid drinking it now as he struggles getting

Why it’s a good idea to use your Kardia etc regularly
It’s a saga but will make it as short as possible! I have paroxysmal AF, big nuisance but I don’t usually have fast episodes any more, take Apixaban anticoagulant so I put up with it. On Friday afternoon while quietly looking at a book an episode started. As usual pretty nasty for first two hours but

More advice please on blood tests
Hi again, and further to my last post could someone please advise me on recent blood tests. After appointment with Roseway labs Pharmacist on 23rd April I increased T3 to 10ug daily . Since my previous bloods showed T4 at the top of the range I reduced that from 100ug daily to 100ug 5 days per week

Strokes, ET, treatment options
Dear All, I’m a 37-year-old male. Two and a half years ago, I suffered a stroke. At that time, in the emergency room, my platelet counts were 844, 698, and 737. The doctors did not pay any attention to those values. MRI scans show that I had quite a few silent strokes in the past, around ten. After

Hi. I've posted a couple of times recently so I'll start with a precise and then my ask! I was diagnosed with Vitamin B12 deficiency in 2015 - I wasn't tested for PA. Enid has told me T3 will shorten my life
At my recent endo appointment, the Professor looked at me over the top of his spectacles and said, ‘if the blood test comes back right, I’m happy for you to stop taking the trial of T4 ‘(which I was coerced into taking) “and go onto 3 x day T3, 10mcg. You do realise it’s as clear as barn doors staring

Thyroid dysfunction and neutropenia-linked?
good afternoon all, Just out here confused and feeling alone so thought I’d reach out. Feel like once you’re referred to a specialist your GP ceases to have an opinion! saw private Endo few weeks ago who stopped Carbimazole due to neutropenia. If you look back at previous post you can see my results

Iron infusion
I had an iron infusion. Finished it last week. My ferritin was 44 prior to infusion. I have to have a blood test to see if it went up. Just curious how long before you feel better. I still feel the same, very tired. Came off mirapex a month ago and waiting for my dr. to give me a new medication.

Test results..
My mum had her blood tests and for the first time since she was diagnosed with ET her platelets are within normal range. She is taking Hydroxyurea.. The only issues the tests show are slightly lower white cell count and low hematocrit around 36. Are these side effects of the medication?Thank you for

Lab Cut Backs (blood testing)!
I've read on here numerous times about people being refused T3 tests because "we're not allowed to test that any more" etc etc. Clearly appalling when trying to get a full picture of what's going on with your thyroid. I've just spoken to the GP about some other blood tests I'm having done tomorrow (

should I be having regular bloods to check on various functions
Hello. A thought recently. I am no longer under rheumatology which my GP knows as they had the same letter I did “can do no more for me as I won’t take methotrexate” yet my prescriptions still state. “Reducing as rheumatology” therefore I think the GP assumes I’m being monitored by them. I’m not and

Understanding Thyroid Test Results
This is the first time I have posted on this site. I have had hypothyroidism for 17 years now and had yearly blood tests. I must admit I have never understood what the result has meant other than the GP saying it's satisfactory. My recent test was Serum TSH level 2.14 mu/1. This means nothing to me and
