solitary lung nodule. Experience or literature about thorascopic lobectomy, no biopsy yet?
We were expecting to hear
biopsy
but were surprised to hear they were sending him directly to a surgeon for a lobectomy. They are scheduling a FDG PET.

DCIS Diagnosis in 2023
After the needle
biopsy
I had surgery to excise the lump. After the longest wait, I was called to the breast unit for the results on the day of the phone call. It was DCIS and I was given several booklets along with the words ‘Some of it will be relevant but not all’.

Colonoscopy
I finished my 35 session 70 Gy full pelvic radiation in January. Is there any reason not to schedule a colonoscopy? I understand there are restrictions on any biopsies during procedure

Is this a flare ?🤷♂️
Just had a
biopsy
done for prostate Cancer. The Dr , felt it unwise to continue taking as it would lower my immune system. Not sure I can take this finger and wrists pain without some form of meds. Regards .

Embryo quality question - okay to transfer but not PGT-A?
I can’t make sense of how a blast is good enough to transfer but not
biopsy
/freeze. If anyone has experienced this, I’d be so grateful for your wisdom. Thank you 🙏🏼

Not All Prostate Biopsies Are Alike!
I had my 4th prostate
biopsy
recently to pleasantly discover it wasn't painful, at all, perhaps a little uncomfortable at times, but not painful like my previous 3 biopsies! I have always considered the early part of the
biopsy
process when the lidocaine was injected as "blindingly painful".

Multiple biopsies, but no diagnosis...
For his last
biopsy
he even travelled to one of the best urologists in Europe (paid out of his own pocket). All other signals (PSA, PHI,..) look concerning. At this point, he is so fed up that he will take treatment and get done with it. Thoughts?

A trial and some tribulations
We drove from New Orleans to Houston in time for Valentine's Day to do the preliminary screening - many blood tests (16 tubes, if I recall correctly), urine test, a CT, and a bone marrow
biopsy

The bumpy journey of a relapsed CLL with a weird and confusing chest CT scan
I had a lung
biopsy
before Christmas but it showed necrosed tissue, inflammation and some lymphoma cells .. No one can explain the scarring fully ..I keep going back to COVID but they tend to not agree with me. They are now talking about a lung wedge
biopsy
to find out more .

Hi all. This update in a way is more upbeat than others. I went into hospital yesterday and had a Cysoscopy. This is an investigation into me bladder , as I have cancer there,, This was my 5th I think and best - I went in 7-30 am and got my op about 11-30. Considering I have CIS which is aggressive

Covid concerns
Recent elevated WBC counts led me to the hematologists office for more blood work and a bone marrow
biopsy
. Original dx was presumed to be marginal zone lymphoma, but at my appt this week the oncologist said that it is CLL. I have a CT scan for staging at the end of the month.

Switching from HU To Pegasys: Skin Cancer Risk
My most recent lesion grew from a pinpoint on
biopsy
to a 1.2 x1.2 cm lesion in 4 months on HU. Today I met with my hematologist , to discuss HU vs Pegasys in relation to my skin cancer risk. She agreed that switching to Pegasys was “a very good choice” for me.

question about chemo for recurring tumour
He has had an enlarged
biopsy
, a removal of tumour, radiotherapy x 2, months of TMZ and avastin. We’ve had 6 months of stable scans and no chemo which has been amazing. Recent scan showed regrowth and the oncologist is recommending lomustine and avastin.

No offer of treatment.
She has had a
biopsy
and been told there is no treatment available for her. She is just being given pain relief. She did not want to know how long she might have left. She sleeps most of the day and can't walk from the lounge to the bedroom (on one level) with out assistance.
