Anniversary of varices bleed
Following an initial appointment with a consultant, monthly endoscopes and a
biopsy
arranged. The
biopsy
had to be trans-jugular due to the risk of internal bleeding because of my blood not clotting correctly.

PSA 4.5, 9% free PSA, 65 yo
Consensus guidance seems to be that
biopsy
is indicated if free PSA <10%. Is there reason to wait?

Almost because my concierge PCP gave me a heads up on the
biopsy
report which hasn’t been posted on my digital chart and I haven’t yet heard from my Urologist/ Onocologist. It’s been 4 mos since my annual checkup said my PSA had doubled from 3.2 to about 6.4 in a year.

A recent pet scan showed an enlarged axillary lymph node that a
biopsy
showed as cancer. (apparently the surgeon missed one!) This is considered a regional metastasis and does not put me into Stage 4, yet.

Gynecology appointment update
I have to go for a hysteroscopy the doctor thinks the thickening in my womb is lack of hormone or was due to the HRT I was taking previously, she also may do a
biopsy
to make sure all is fine. She has prescribed me vagifem 10mg to be inserted into my vagina.

Calquence. No energy, not eating, not drinking. Delayed side effects or something else?
They want to wait until a
biopsy
is done to see what actions to take next. Everything with his lab counts are looking good according to the doc. The WBC haven't spiked and everything seems to "be on course".

Thick lining
I have had a
biopsy
and there is no concern there. The Drs keep pacifying me and not coming up with a plan to reduce my lining which is any different to previous failed attempts such as nortisterone.

FIB4 Test
The fibrosis 4 (FIB4) index is a liver fibrosis biomarker that is a potential alternative to liver
biopsy
for diagnosing and managing liver disease. The primary outcome was the number of individuals within each risk category for hepatic fibrosis: high risk (FIB4 ≥ 3.25) and low risk (FIB4 < 1.3).

Endometriosis and breast fibroadenomas
I had a breast
biopsy
last August due to a pea size lump in my breast which turned out to be a fibroid however since then I’ve had endo excision surgery, taken progesterone and sadly had two miscarriages. The lump is now doubled in size and is quite painful.

Anyone had this?
So 6-8 weeks for
biopsy
results. I don’t understand how there is no evidence of reflux oesophagitis (don’t get me wrong, I’m glad there is not.) but I don’t understand where the cough and hoarse voice is coming from. Has anyone else had eisinophilic oesophagitis?

His
biopsy
showed all 12 cores positive with 80%+ cancer, GL 4+5 with
intraductal carcinoma
and original PSA was 12. According to PSMA pet scan 12 months ago, he has additional risk factors such as
ECE, SVI, PNI
, but no other spread.

The doctor never said get bone marrow
biopsy
or I won't see you. We thought it was optional, so now we have to wait for that. On her birthday 🎂 is a consult for something else.. She first need endoscopy also before oncologist does anything. It's frustrating.

cost of Forteo, Tymlos, Evenity, Prolia in USA
In addition I need a
biopsy
for breast lump. Ugh. So I’m faced with choosing a new osteoporosis drug. Besides the side effects they all seem to have, I’m considering the cost as we are self-employed and carry Marketplace insurance.
