I was treated with high dose prednisone as I had queried GCA but negative on

. I have been tapering and every time I get to15 mgs I get symptoms . Last time I developed aching ankles ,fatigue and myCRP went up . Rheumy put me back to 20 mgs and added methotrexate .

GCA and Ocular TIA (mini stroke)??
I also had a
biopsy
and GCA was confirmed. I didn't have further eye problems until the beginning of my third relapse last November, when the veil reappeared.

Confused
They did not do a
biopsy
of the temporal artery because I had already been given corticoids in my vein.

After some Advice
Following this my urologist said that a follow up
biopsy
may be required. My Question should I also ask for a PMSA, I have read that this type of imagining picks up smaller lesions plus by having this test it scans the whole body for any other type of disease

Lorazepam experiences for one-off use
I was in quite a state after the
biopsy
and it was nothing like this procedure will be. I guess it’s because it’s right under my eyes. On my face and the whole thing about somebody doing this to your face.

Newly Diagnosed
I have since had a pet scan, lung
biopsy
which has returned cancer but not its type. I had major surgery in my mouth in 2002 which was adenoid cystic carcinoma. My consultant thinks it has returned to both lung 22 years later, I'm petrified.

Inherited aggressive pc
Brother had psa of 10 at age 59 and dre revealed some abnormality,
biopsy
revealed pc and he had 20 sessions EBRT and no ADT, no problems after, that was 12 years ago, he can't remember his gleason score and has lost his
biopsy
report. I've been diagnosed favourable intermediate risk.

biopsy
slides to predict which high-risk men do or don't benefit from short-term ADT vs long-term ADT.

Doctor says husband's situation is rare
Because of the
biopsy
, they expected to see cancer in the prostate, colon or lung due to the markers. They were baffled when nothing was in any of those places. The pathology report stated that the tumor in the parotid gland was a metastatic tumor.

Divergent second opinion
He doesn't think that Docetaxel is warranted right now unless the genomic test on the
biopsy
tissue shows high risk markers. He also recommends radiating the prostate plus SBRT to the pelvis mets and to keep chemo as an option for later if needed.

Recently diagnosed and trying to work out what to do! All advice gratefully received.
Area of concern on MRIs consistent on both MRIs and is where the positive
biopsy
was taken. Prostate felt benign during digital exam. Clinical Stage 1, Histological grade group 2. Cancer contained within prostate.
