Update-the votes are in! I will do the prostate biopsy.
Thank you all that gave me feedback and your support. I do understand that the Dr. needs more data to map the course of attack for the cancer. I also had the ExoDx prostate test ( urine collection kit that you mail in). Dr. told me the test results came back at 89% cancer. Onward. My God guide us

Recurrence after 2.5 year break from ADT
This is a quick note to thank all of the members here who have shared their experiences and knowledge. After a 2.5 year break from Casodex and Lupron, my husband's PSA started increasing in August 2022. It's still low but is now at 2.9. His oncologist ordered several scans including a PSMA. As results

EGFR Exon 20 NSCLC
A
biopsy
was done on this and found no mutations. We paid for a Guardant 360 liquid
biopsy
and this came back with an EGFR Exon 20 mutation. My question is, can mutations change over time? For example, is it possible for him to pick up a different mutation?

Inability to work is frustrating me.
When my PSA went into the 130+ range, he set me up for a prostate
biopsy
which resulted in the diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer. I have been dealing with it ever since getting treatments once a month at Yale.

Rare Skin Disorder - PLEVA
The doctor took a
biopsy
of one of the bumps and I will see him again in early September for a confirmed diagnosis. He thought is may be related to my degraded immune system as a result of my leukemia.

BONE MARROW BIOPSY
He ordered a bone marrow
biopsy
as I had never had one done. The results are very interesting and baffling to the doctor and pathologist.

The drama of it all
We are told early blast is now excellent and expanded and 2 morula are now early blasts - so they can do PGTA
biopsy
& freeze. 1 morula stops growing. Leave without transfer. Call today. Expanded blast has expanded in a way that makes PGT difficult.

Input on Treatment
After my MRI showed a PIRADS 5 lesion, my
biopsy
came back with a Gleason 4+3 in 5/13 cores. PSA measures 7.5, but would be 15 without my daily Finasteride. ECE was suspected, but my PSMA PET confirmed no spread outside the prostate. That’s a relief. Graded as unfavorable intermediate.

Is twitching a particularly hypothyroid symptom?
I had a Sjogren’s
biopsy
, which ruled that condition out. After a few months I put the salivary issue down to Teva, because when I stopped taking Teva in March, the dry mouth went away. It’s back.

Got my genomic analysis - sounds like there are possibilities?
I'm attaching the relevant part of my tumor testing from the
biopsy
samples. I'm high volume metastatic cancer, currently on Lupron, had to stop abiraterone due to liver numbers off, & had 1st Docetaxel chemo a week ago. Sounds like Keytruda could be beneficial as immunotherapy.

Androgen receptor mutations for precision medicine in prostate cancer - Endocrine-Related Cancer, Review Article, Published: 17 Aug 2022
mutations and the efficacy of AR pathway inhibitors are accumulating, monitoring the AR mutation status is a promising approach for providing precision medicine in prostate cancer, which would be implemented through the development of clinically available testing modalities for AR mutations using liquid

Free PSA - Post RT
I know that pre-diagnosis Free PSA may be used as one predictor of PCa, and can influence whether one should pursue MRI /
biopsy
. My question is in the Post RT context when one still has a prostate and some minimal PSA is expected, does Free PSA have any inferential value?

Hi Ladies I had my thoracic surgery on 10th May and saw my oncologist for results on Monday. It has been confirmed as metastatic ovarian. The surgeon removed one lymph node and another small growth but there’s one remaining on the diaphragm which he says is too dangerous to remove and one on other side
