Statins and AF
Today i had an appointment with the nurse regarding a pre diabetes chat as I was on the borderline with score of 42. She was encouraging me to take a statin as my cholesterol was 5.2 to help prevent stroke and heart attack but I thought Apixaban would help prevent stroke. I wasn’t keen so she has made

HINTS
what seems to work for me 1.solotalol 2. steroids 3. cyclophosamide 4. plaquinel . But we are all different and we all have different versions of lupus. Mine came with shrinking lung syndrome, AF and RA- so don't do anything without your doctors approval. Also Actonal and Megafol. as well as Calcium

Ace Inhibitors and Statins
Hi everyone, I need some advice please. I was called in to see my gp yesterday for the result of my blood test, CKD 3a. My Triglycerides are 2.4, high. He has put me on ace inhibitors with a blood test in 2 weeks as he said I am at risk of cardiovascular disease and will have to go on statins later.

Queasy
Hi all, presently on apixaban, digoxin, adizam, and statins recently had a two lead pacemaker. 13 years open heart surgery for a mitral valve repair. My GP a few weeks ago gave frusemide, now feeling queasy, and a horrid taste in mouth. I have stopped frusemide today , my thinking is that’s the problem

Post - AVR: 6 week milestone
So my bioprosthetic replacement aortic valve ,uneventfully replaced , is functioning well as I pass the 6 week post op milestone. Generally feeling sharper, mobile and without a hint of the stable angina symptoms that blighted all my physical activity before surgery. Great joy that I can at last rip

Low serum free thyroxine level is correlated with lipid profile in depressive patients with suicide attempt
I really don't know what to say about this abstract. Unless I am getting it entirely wrong, don't total cholesterol and triglycerides tend to rise with low FT4? Anyway, it has certainly previously been reported that it is vital to consider the possibility of statins causing or worsening depression
