Home iv's
Hi Everyone, well after several 'problems' since December (2 exacerbations and 1 virus) my doctor at Papworth decided I needed iv's. It was agreed that I could do them at home as there is a very easy way of administering them which does not involve syringes with needles. I went on Wednesday to spend

Not sure which way it is going :/
We saw the Consultant who said he wants to try an ERCP to stent and also clear bile debris. This won't solve the deep bile problem but will give some relief of these awful symptoms... hopefully. They are now saying they want to try all avenues before re listing... Another thing they will try if this

Is this right??
I am trying to create a progression map in my head... So I'm going to need your advice here... The bile ducts which are blocked cannot be treated via ERCP or any other procedure so will be getting worse depending on the effect of the Urso drug. The Doctor said something about managing symptoms - this

My symptoms worsened when the ophthalmologist reduced the steroid dose to 40mgs from 60mg. his intention

Start all over again
well it is just after 8pm here in Oz and I just had a call from rheumatology to say stop taking imuran as my liver test came back and they have gone from 240 to 860 in the last few weeks. So now the good news is I have to start the three month wait again to be eligible for biologics on something new.

Bile ducts?
Hello, A huge thank you to all of you who have been supporting me over the last few weeks... (Post: Here I am again) The MRI scan showed that there is something obstructing the bile ducts which are inside the liver. The actual bile ducts going in and out of the liver are not blocked. The biopsy has

Hi, my sister has just been told that she needs to have her gall bladder removed... anyone know a natural, proven way to treat and remove gallstones without surgery?

Help needed
Hello, I'm at my wits end and need advice. For over 10yrs now I've suffered with pain in my right hand side, nausea, fatigue and a general feeling of being unwell. I saw a liver specialist who recommended an ERCP. I changed my doctor to one who was closer and he performed an ERCP which resulted in pancreatitis

Gallstones & Coeliac - is there a genuine connection???
Hi, I've recently done some reading, thanks to a member on here, about a possible connection between Coeliac and Gallbladder disease. My question is how substantiated is this? The article I read was by a teacher, not a doctor or researcher, so is this just anecdotal, or worse, pseudoscience? I tried

Flattened villi?
I had a biopsy for celiac and it came back ok although I have flattened villi. Does anyone know what the biopsy is and what can be shown from it? Incidentally, the cause from the flattened villi is most probably Bile Salt Absorption which I have been diagnosed since with. But I have gone gluten free

Yet Another "New Kid"
So I don't know if it matters, but I noticed through my reading that most of the posters are in the UK. I am in the US and have been reading the boards for a bit while I waited for the rest of my results to come in and for the final confirmation. I was informed on January 8th by my gastroenterologist

Hello! Just stumbled across this and couldn't be happier!
Hi! My name is Taylor and I am 23 years old. I was diagnosed with PBC at 19 but they think it all started at 14. I had my gall bladder removed as precaution but it didn't help so after a few years of testing and such they came to the conclusion it was PBC. I've noticed its mostly people in their 40s

Foam in mouth after eating
I am 2 years and 3 months post op. I have had a couple of dilatations, the last in October. I am experiencing some problems such as after eating I get a great deal of foaming in the mouth, then get a feeling of something lodging in the throat and then I tend to vomit. I am on Lazaparazole twice daily
