High volume, advanced metastatic prostate cancer
He was treated with palliative radiation and a hormone blocker
bicalutamide
, steroids (that was for about 3-4 months), and a shot he takes twice a year. First hormone blocker was great and we got about 8 months out of it.

PSA seasonality
For this reason I analyzed my old PSA readings during the 2+ years before starting
Bicalutamide
. I divided the year into two halfs assigning winter as the period starting on the autumnal equinox and ending on the vernal one. Summer is the remaining.

I immediately started on
Bicalutamide
. I had a DNA test done and that was negative. On September 27 I had my first 6-month injection of Eligard. And finally on October 12 was able to start on Erleada. The delay in Erleada was due to cost and my ability to pay for it.

My decision on Radiotherapy -v- Prostatectomy
in days and I then started on
bicalutamide
within an hour of the scan. The relief was immense! Two weeks later I had my first 3 monthly prostap (leuprorelin acetate) injection. That will carry on for up to 3 years. The radiotherapy starts at the beginning of March for 7 weeks.

Zytiga & BAT
I am currently on Zytiga after
Bicalutamide
failed after 5 years, Would like to try BAT but not sure whether I should continue on Zytiga during BAT or discontinue until PSA goes up. Currently Testosterone is zero and PSA 4.5 and dropping. Prostate removed 20 years ago.

Second Gen ADT Drug Issues
I remember back before my SRT went on
Bicalutamide
for one month before SRT started and then stopped when I read that is also linked to dementia. Crap. https://www.urologytimes.com/view/analysis-further-links-prostate-cancer-drug-class-with-cognitive-and-functional-toxicity?

Should I have RT, given the possible permanent SEs
Started
Bicalutamide
and have had 2 Zoladex injections . PSA is now.01. My OC now wants to start RT with 33 sessions. I want to know if I can avoid RT altogether, because of the damage and side effects that might happen. Can I deal with this PC long term with just ADT? Anyone not used RT?

Ongoing BCR case. Advices are appreciated.
Justfor's "
Bicalutamide
maneuvers" are very interesting but MO probably will not risk with "soft" approach when ADT time comes. I would like to hear your opinions and advices. Good luck to all.

Running out of road....
Initially
Bicalutamide
as monotherapy, then when that failed, I had the 3 monthly shots with
bicalutamide
. Then when it escaped the lymph nodes, I was place on shots+enzalutamide/Xtandi.

Is Bicalutamide needed after Orchiectomy
-
Bicalutamide
(50 mg): He has been taking this daily since June 2022. His doctor has told him that he might have to take it for two more years. Is this normal given that my dad had Orchiectomy in June 2022 and his PSA levels returned to normal few months after surgery?

Now you may understand my
Bicalutamide
maneuvers. More, than needed,
Bicalutamide
may promote castrate resistance . Well, this is relevant to PCa. No?

When to expect zoladex side effects?
He had his first zoladex injection just over two weeks ago (16 days exact) and just finished his
bicalutamide
pills (30 days). So far he hasn’t experienced any of the side effects except for fatigue.
