Update 8.0 - Next chapter
While I would prefer to increase the
Besremi
dose, it would not be in my best interests. I am planning to keep the
Besremi
dose at 175mcg unless my MPN care team advises otherwise. I expect we will give it a bit of time to see if the NEUT comes back up above 1.00.

Team alpha!!!!
On my last MRI before
Besremi
I had a new one and it has shown improvement!!!! No active disease! Stable and improved!!!! Clearly medication has helped!!! I squealed and cried at the same time!!! Will see what neurologist says Monday but can’t see how they will not be happy!

Interferon and the liver
question to all my MPN people on here who are taking pegasys or
besremi
, how do you manage elevated liver enzymes? Do they cycle up and down? Is there anything we can do to bring them down? What is acceptable to y’all? My hematologist says not to worry until they hit 2-300..

Update 8.2
Discussed with the hematologist whether it is PV,
Besremi
, or iron loss; the answer being "who knows." It is not enough to interfere since I can just push through it when I need to. We will continue to monitor the A1C and glucose numbers.

Switch (forced) from Peg to Besremi?
Reached out to my MPN specialist, who said he was aware of the problem, that
Besremi
is readily available and he is already working on the paperwork to make the switch if needed (I have three weeks (2 shots) of Peg left at home)...he is confident that the switch would be no problem and would plan on

Sweating at night
I am on
Besremi
. I started to sweat at night. What does it mean with PV? 9 years from my diagnosis. What do you think about it, please? Recommendations

Switch from Besremi to Ruxolitinib
Dear all After 18 months on
Besremi
my oncologist and I made the decision to move on and so am starting on Rux. In brief, I titrated up from 100 ug (Sep 2022) to 500 ug Bes and was at that dose for 9 months. I was CHR for the last 5 months of this period.

Update 8.1.5 - Month out from vensection
It seems that my best plan is top stay at 175mcg
Besremi
with a venesection about every 12 months. Hopefully, the length of time between venesections will get longer or become unneeded. Most importantly, I am feeling good. Quality of life is a primary treatment goal.

PV treatment follow-Up
I am considering going on a low dose of
Besremi
and staying there to limit any side effects. Any one have any thoughts on: 1.. The
Besremi
, 2. That my VAF went down after 3 years 3. Testing positive for CALR with JAK2 Axon 12.

vaccine
I do plan to get it soon, yet would like to know if anyone on
Besremi
has had any issues with the vaccine (Pfizer) All my previous shots have happened before I was taking
Besremi
. I never had any reactions from them. I have scheduled the vaccine a week in between my next dose.

Besremi and the heart
A heart ultrasound and all other work ups related to
Besremi
risks (initial doctor, pro HU, was very leery of
Besremi
) all came out very well this last year. Nurse told me to go to emergency if it happens again, of course. They did note how close the reaction was to my injection.

Needing some good vibes
Not sure why but I think I just want this crazy idea that
Besremi
will work for both conditions and I am praying that it reflects that. And if not hoping to make the right decision about what I want to do. This time there will not be an ice storm to get me out of it!

Interferon alpha
The 2 mentioned are Pegasys and
Besremi
and was hoping someone on the same could explain the benefits they believe they get versus the side affects (I understand the affects will vary from person to person).

PCV besremi and low platelets
Given the trend it’s hard to say it was spurious reading My oncologist at MGH said to pause my
Besremi
for a few weeks and see if there is any recovery.

Update 7.7
I am a proponent of the low and slow approach to
Besremi
dose titration. My care team has concurred with this approach thus far. I feel much better with my iron levels higher, so I am hoping that the
Besremi
dose increase will be both effective and tolerable.

Dizzy/full head
I realize this is a symptom of both PV and
Besremi
. Does anyone else experience this symptom and if so any tips on how to manage this issue.

Post PV Myelofibrosis - One Year Update
Anyway, I'm finding peace that my drop in counts was due to
Besremi
and not quickly progressing MF. I do not know what my journey will be like in the future but I will try to avoid the catastrophic thinking that I indulged in this past year.

Besremi Question
Hello all, I have been on
Besremi
therapy for a year and 3 months. My numbers have shown nice improvement. I started at a burden of 78% and down 32% all other blood work staying steady. My question is does anyone experience muscle and bone pain?

Hydroxyurea vs Besremi
Which drug is considered less toxic on the body - hydroxyurea or
besremi
? My MPN specialist put me on hydroxyurea a few years ago with the plan to switch over to
besremi
in a couple of months. I did get insurance approval for the
besremi
a long time ago but I've been hesitant to make the switch.

besremi or jakafi
The MD suggested we look at both
Besremi
and Jakafi. I’ve been combing through the product profiles and am finding myself wondering how to decide which one to go forward with. I understand that one is an injectable, so that might be a choosing point for some.
