Hypogonadism, heat flushing, and testosterone replacement
Hi all, It is almost a year since I had my external beam radiation for Gleason 7 (3+4) PCa (see my profile). So far so good: 4 PSA tests were reassuringly low. I am now almost 82 and I am hoping to deal with my strange heat-flushing problem, which I have had for several years. It predates my cancer

Newly Diagnosed with High Cholesterol
I’m an otherwise healthy 53 year old who had a PSA blood test, and while that was thankfully clear, I was told I had high cholesterol (above 7.5). I’ve been put on a statin and have started a healthy eating and increased exercise regime. I consider my diet was pretty healthy anyway but have cut out red

Break from ADT or not?
Hi everyone, my Dad was recommended 18-24 months of Lupron/Zytiga/Prednisone after Radiation Therapy. We reached that time and MO said that is up to my Dad if he wants to continue the treatment or not. Lately my dad had high blood pressure over 200 and he ended up in ER, but now the blood pressure is

Feet tingling
For the last 8 days my toes have been not numb to touch but have the feeling of pins and needles in my toes on both feet. I am not sure if this is related to my PSA but I thought easiest way to find out was to ask on here as I cant see my GP. Any help greatly appreciated.

First PSA post surgery
Hello, Just had my first 3 month PSA test post surgery. <0.01. Good news but need to monitor every 3 years due to intraductal component. I just want to thank everyone that has been so supportive and has given me positive feedback on this forum. I am also getting genetic testing done this week as well

New to Prostate issues. What are my options?
I’m 63 years old, in general good health. I’ve been experiencing symptoms for maybe 5 years, gradually getting worse. - Waking in the night to pee, 2 to 3 times. - Hesitance - Weak stream, stop start.. Thankfully no blood or pain. So I finally went to the GP & had an examination 😳, GP said

Lower Platelet count after HDR Brachytherapy
I am 76 and have had a low platelet count for at least the past 30 years. My results had usually been in the 125,000 range, with 140,000 to 150,000 being the minimum value to be considered normal. I had HD Brachytherapy for prostate cancer in November 2021, and ever since then my platelet count has

"8mm sclerotic focus noted T12 vertebrae within left superior acetabulum"
MO ordered CT Abdomen/pelvis after having a couple blood clots in urine, no blood, about 4 mths ago with several quick sharp pains in bladder area daily since about that time (may be from straining to empty bladder when urinate or kegels). CT no issues noted other than the 8mm sclerotic focus in T12

Has anyone been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer as well as prostate cancer? My husband is getting ready to have a bone marrow biopsy to see if that is what is going on. I have read that chemo and radiation can lead to bone cancers😖

Looking for medical oncologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
I was diagnosed one year ago with two very small tumors, one on each lobe. Gleason 6, grade group one. Less than 5% involvement in each tumor. Decipher of 0.28, which suggests low aggressiveness. PSA has remained 0.7 for a many years. Although I think Fox Chase Cancer center in Philadelphia is a fine

new drugs
I was on Eligard and Zytiga plus prednisone for about 4 years with tolerable side effects. Mostly medium fatigue. Got my PSA down to undetectable and my Mets invisible in scans after 4 years. I took a two-year break. Wonderful to be clear of the side effects and infusion. Testosterone and PSA gradually

Disappointed
After Lupron, NUBEQA and Zytega … and a recent FDG Cat scan Several nodes lit up in the periodonal aorta area of his abdomen. Being totally right up against the aorta, a decision was made to remove them robotically. Surgery went well. All lymph’s were removed that lit up on the scan. docs felt PSA

Disgusted with Healthcare
I had to request my PCP to do a PSA as it wasn't standard practice. I had to call the urologist, who I originally saw, after I joined this board and knew I should be starting ADT, even though they hadn't two months after my scans showed Stage IV. I saw the surgeon even though it was Stage IV and wasn't

Two week post SBRT update
Hello All, I completed my 5 SBRT sessions on 5/1/2024. My results have been very similar to ToolBeltZia so I have not posted repetitive daily entries. Here are some items that may be of interest. 1) Very similar issues with constipation as ToolBeltZia had following SBRT. That is just now improving

Stopping Orgovyx after six months
My brother has PCa as well. We keep it in the family... He had a PT ten years ago but his PSA rose so he got salvage radiation and went on Orgovyx. His MO said he would be on it for 18 months, as is SOC. He didn't like his MO so he switched to a GU MO. That MO said the research showed six months of ADT
