Statin use and outcomes of oncological treatment for castration-resistant prostate cancer - From the Finnish poulation, Nature, 11/01/23
As a follow-up to recent posts on statins and PCa, here is another Euopean study, this time from the Finns. As noted in the Abstract below, they come to the conclusion of no/little benefit for crPCa, but maybe some for csPCa. The apparent pooling of data for specific type/form of statin does not provide

? For fellow BATmen on daro and androgen stimulation. Great Article
I came across this 2023 article and i think it poses a great outcome for us who are cycling high T and darolutamide. Am I correct that this article correlates positively with our BAT with Daro? I find this article extremely fascinating although it is complex. I need to learn more about proteonomic

BCF after 9 years post proton therapy
My PSA had been increasing slowly since my nadir of .75 in 2017 reaching 1.19 in 2022. Both RO and Uro weren't terribly concerned. I wanted PSMA after 3rd consecutive increase but both recommended a wait and see approach, especially the RO who seems honor bound to wait for 2.0 over nadir. I skipped

HoLEP Affect on Pca
as posted earlier, I have both BPH (80 cc) and localized prostate cancer. Clear PSMA. I’m having HoLEP surgery. Wonder how this will impact the cancer. How will PSA respond? What happens if HoLEP actually removed the cancer?

Helpful group
Hello All, This group has been very helpful in providing information and suggestions on PC. I was diagnosed in Sept. 23 as Stage 4, Gleason 7 with all core samples testing positive and one met to the sacrum. Just completed 28 rounds of IMRT and have been on Lupron, Xtandi and Zometa for the last two

Focal therapy ?
I'm a patient at MSK in NY, though I live in CT. Am an active healthy 80 yr old who is still working and runs on a treadmill 2-3 miles a day. Briefly, have been on active surveillance since Fall, 2019 with periodic MRIs, biopsies (Gleason 6), etc. Also have BPH (last MRI 95cc). Last Spring PSA started

Treatment after Lu /Pluvicto?
It seems that there is paucity of data related to the effectiveness of treatments after Lu/Pluvicto. I'm beginning to suspect that pubished survival benefits for Radium 223/Pluvicto and chemotherapy cannot be assumed to be anticipated if the patient has had Pluvicto. My husband has completed 6 sessions

Prostate cancer in liver
Have recently had a PSMA scan. This did show some hot spots for sure. But also, three smaller spots on my liver that did not give off PSMA. Did a liver Biopsy. which is rather painful I might add. Will meet with my 0ncologist on Monday to look at options. Any suggestion for the three rather small spots

Radiation PSA, Orgovyx, Bone density
Rouge clone radiation on 10/31/23 has PSA continuing to drop to 0.85. MO plans to monitor PSA before requesting PSMA scan (insurance) unless it is increasing. Considering switch from Eligard to Orgovyx if PSA looks good in early Feb since Orgovyx apparently has less severe SE and doesn't tie me to

Experience, thus far with Lupron and Abiraterone
I am 78 years old. I was diagnosed in May 2022 with PCa after my PSA was measured at 23.79. I have no other health issues. Following the determination that PCa was still within the prostrate capsule and had not spread to any other organ, I was placed on Lupron (6 monthly IM injections for 2 years). Clinically

Testosterone increase after injection
I recently had my 6 month dose of Camcevi 42mg and my testosterone went from 7 t0 55 rights after the injection. My PSA remained the same at 0.1 . Is this normal for my testosterone to jump 48 points. Oncologist says he is more concerned with my PSA. Also the injection of the Camcevi was in my lower
