A Miracle Has Happened, also a Gentle Warning to Everyone Taking Flecainide
Hi Everyone I used to take 100mg Flecainide alongside 12.5mg of Metoprolol twice daily for many years - perhaps as many as 7 - 10 years. Last August my cardiologist looked at my ECG and said you need to stop taking Flecainide as it looks like that could be causing your problems - tiredness and breathless

low beta hcg after IVF day 5 fresh transfer
Got my first beta back on 13dp5dt and it was only 167. I am spiraling because this number is considered low. Googling everything did not help because most of the research agrees that it is too low. Doing a second beta on Monday (16dp5dt) and am so anxious. What are the odds this pregnancy will be viable

Ectopic beats
Hi thereI just had an ecg and was doing ok until the last few seconds when I had to stop as my legs were sore and breathing was laboured. It turns out I had some polymorphic ventricular ectopics which on the print out looked like ky heart had gone crazy. No chest pain at all. I am already taking verapamil

Clearblue weeks test are they accurate? low beta 9dp5dt
hey 👋 so I sent a medichecks test away at 9dp5dt and it’s come back 55 so quite low positive which I’m really gutted about. I know technically it is about doubling time and sometimes the embryo implants late…. my OTD isn’t actually until 14dp5dt so was thinking of maybe trying a clearblue weeks indicator

Things might be looking up?
Just an update... Following a flare up of suspected pericarditis (Following myocarditis) recently I was put back on colchicine about 4 weeks ago. The pain is less frequent, and less severe. I'm sleeping much better, and I can sit back on the sofa and lie on my back in bed - if only for a short while

Enlarged Left Atrial
Hi I am having an optional plastic surgery. My Heam said it was fine. My preop EKG stated that while my EKC is consistant with the last time I had one, I also "possibly" have an enlarged left atrial. Huh. I have a 1st degee block that has not progressed but this is new. Has anyone ever heard of that?

A Cautionary Tale
Early the other morning I woke up feeling nauseous, lightheaded, cold, clammy and ill. I never felt that way before so I called for an ambulance to take me to the emergency room. I always remember that women present themselves differently when it comes to heart problems. Arriving to the ER my vitals

Im so fed up with the constant SVTs and PACs
Hi everyone... Had successful ablation for AFib and AF in 2016. Ok until last August when all these weird arrythmias suddenly started happening. I assumed it was AFibbut it was different, getting a week to 2 weeks of almost constant palpitations 24/7. Been to A&E 3 times, they weren't bothered. Been

pregnancy confirmed with good beta results
Hi everyone! I had my beta today at 11 days past 5 day double embryo transfer and my pregnancy was confirmed today with hcg levels of 365, they will be checking them again in 2 days just to make sure they are doubling which they are certain they will, I'm so happy and excited, this was our 4th transfer

Sudden increase in resting Heart Rate?
Bit puzzled by this, wondering if anyone had any clever ideas? I've tried to ring the local arrhythmia nurses but not got through yet, emailed them yesterday but no reply so far. I'm on 1x1.25mg biso and 1x50 flec twice daily which appears to have been working Ok.
Saturday I did a local park run

Initial AF advice please
Hi All Just had tests done - ECG, blood tests, chest Xray and waiting to see g.p. Wondering what I should expect to come out of consultation and do I expect referral (have work private healthcare so should be available if needed). Background is Hypothyroid on T3 Haemochromatosis (carrier only) On HRT

Another cardiologist referral
Back again. A few days ago ended up back in a n e due to my pulse jumping up just sitting. They did the usual EKG blood pressure and pile then sent me home telling me to contact my GP. I did that and I've goty third referral bk to cardiology for an ekg and holster fitting. It's just constant backwards

3 years ago I had a severe physical reaction to the Pneumococcal vaccine which put me in Hospital for 2 days for observations. At the time (and still having) I was fully vaccinated for covid and flu with no issues. I was offered the Pneumococcal vaccine as I am type2 Diabetic, with cirrosis, a couple

know it’s been asked before
Right I’m on my way home from Sheffield and already panicking about AF and Afl, I’ve decided I need a way of capturing an ecg to reassure me in the short term . I don’t want to use it all the while just at the moment as a comfort blanket. Which would people recommend please. If all goes to plan I’m hoping

Pectus Excavatum
Hi - new on here. After some advice , anyone got experience of heart problems caused by a chest wall deformity - pectus excavatum? Only recently diagnosed by MRI. Seems it’s mostly considered cosmetic but my ECG is abnormal and I’ve had palpitations for years . Everything else on MRI was normal
