I started have severe issues with dry eyes a little over a year ago along with dry mouth. A couple of weeks ago I saw my PCP and had her run tests for Sjogren's. My results were negative for Sjogren's but she said my bloodwork indicated lupus and I am waiting to see rheumatology. I have also been

Imuran Side Effects
Taking Imuran for about 5 weeks, started been experiencing many of the initial symptoms I felt before diagnosis at about 2 weeks. At first thought treatment not working, but labs still heading towards normal range. Still titrating down on prednisone . Skipped Imuran a couple days and the nausea, fever

Chemo Vs ADT
So this is possibly the dumbest question I have asked. But the knowledge on this forum is worth tapping into even for people like me who struggle with all the complexities of PC. So, - ADT suppresses PC but will not kill it. Chemo on the other hand finds the PC cells and kills them. So why do

Was I wise
Currently on 3.5mg. Rheumatoid arthritis has shown itself in both hands and is very painful. GP said 'I could give you a steroid injection but I don't expect you want that'. I said not - the word 'steroid' frightened me as I am afraid it will be play havoc with the Pred. Was I right to reject his offer

cutaneous lupus
My daughter has (we think as no one is sure!) cutaneous lupus which affects her skin. Her regular flare ups result in very painful skin lesions which blister and bleed. She is under rheumatology and dermatology and after two years still not found medication / immunosuppressants that works and shes seen

New Google AI called Bard
I’ve been trying out Bard with various questions. Still beta, so US spelling and orientation, but I think it made a pretty good fist of this one:- Why don’t doctors treat Pernicious Anaemia properly? Pernicious anemia is a type of anemia that is caused by a lack of vitamin B12. It is a serious condition

Advice Needed for Hand Tremors
My mom is 96 years old and in failing health. She was diagnosed with CLL 7 years ago and has been on Calquence for the last 4 years.
