New diagnosis
So I have recently been diagnosed with discoid lupus after a 3 year battle. I feel relieved in a sense to know that I was not going crazy with the symptoms I have been experiencing. My family and friends have been so amazing through it all but I feel slightly disregarded in the sense that we are happy

I have just joined the community as am so disheartened and confused by so much conflicting advice on how to best manage your diet with an underactive thyroid. I was diagnosed 16 years ago with this condition and have struggled with weight gain and managing my weight ever since. Trawling the internet

complete blood test
I have purchased a complete blood test kit, as with a NHS blood test for underactive thyroid you do not get a complete blood test. Unfortunately I need my blood to be drawn so I can send away for this test. Will the NHS do this for free as they won’t be testing it.

Diagnosis - What to expect?
Hi, I was diagnosed with Sjogren's and auto immune hypothyroidism in 2017, currently taking 10mg methotrexate, I have suspected I have lupus too for a while, but lack of doctor appointments due to Covid and their general disinterest when I did have an appointment meant I carried on with no formal tests

Blood tests revealed SLE patients had significantly higher IFN-1 activity than those with other
autoimmune
diseases
and healthy individuals. No differences in IFN-1 activity were seen across all non-SLE participants.
