M.E. or underactive thyroid?
I have a friend who has had an underactive thyroid for many years, she is on 75mcg levo. In recent years she has started suffering from fatigue. She is resistant to the possiblity it may be her thyroid as she has been hypo and on meds for years. Also GP has never suggested it may be her thyroid, because

Recent diagnosis of Fibromyalgia
I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in 2021 after nearly two years of pain initially in my left wrist and then progressing to both hands and feet. I’m on so many medications and am awaiting the start of my second biologic as Imraldi only helped for 5 months. I’m wondering if anyone else has both

Hashimotos - inflammatory arthritis - hydroxychloroquine
But I think I’m still going to look for a clued up Rheumatology dept, that’s got more idea about
autoimmune

. I have dry eyes and basement cell dystrophy and as hydroxychloroquine can affect your eyes I don’t that it’s really good for me to have at all.

Newly diagnosed
Hi All, I've just joined this group looking to educate myself following a recent 2nd positive lupus test. I am waiting for a pheumatology appointment but no idea when that is going to happen so a bit concerned I am losing time on getting a plan in place. 30 years ago I tested positive for Anti Phospholipid

help with blood test results…
Hi, I’ve been taking levothyroxine (125mcg) for an underactive thyroid for 3 years. Had a private test done and got the results today. My TSH is 0.52 (range 0.27 - 4.20) and anti-thyroidperoxidase is 94 (normal range less than 34). Everything else was in normal reference range as per the image. Can

Endocrinologist recommendations in/near West Sussex for Addison's / adrenals
Can anybody recommend an endocrinologist in West Sussex or nearby please who knows about adrenals and Addison's? It comes as no surprise to me, but a private blood screen has just shown very low cortisol levels and a couple of other bits, that suggest an adrenal problem, possibly Addison's. I've not

Elimination of symptoms through change of diet (such as AIP) - has anyone tried it?
I have been speaking with the sister of a friend recently, who is battling various
autoimmune
diseases
for 16 years now (hashimoto, RA and recently also diagnosed with systemic sclerosis and polymyositis), who has told me about this.

Are there any holistic remedies for LUPUS?
My wife has recently been diagnosed with LUPUS. She had been in an accident in Florida back in March. She was treated poorly by the police/ handcuffed/ spent two nights in jail with low lives. She became a nervous wreck, and couldn't sleep lost appetite and became extremely reclusive. I'm hoping that

Hives on scalp
I haven't posted for a while but I developed Hives on my scalp, few itchy spots on my upper body and itchy ears in February. Was given fexofenadine and lotion which calmed the itching down but never went away, every time I've tried to stop the antihistamine I have to start it again. I've got oral lichen

Can anyone explain about soy please
Can someone please explain if it is fermented or unfermented soy that is ok to eat if you have an underactive thyroid. I have to make adjustments to what I eat and have been looking at tofu and tempeh but am not sure if they are ok to eat. Apologies I am a bit forgetful at the moment after long surgery

Morning, sorry for the long post :) I am new on here and awaiting an appointment from Rheumatology after some blood results. My doctor suggested Rheumatoid arthritis however indicated it could possibly be Lupus. Also bloods showed kidney function is abnormal but not too concerning. So for context

my daughter has Underactive thyroid she is taking 50mg Levothyroxine. She is extremely tired all the time, she has put a lot of weight on even though she has a healthy diet, I thought that she would benefit from seeing a private endocrinologist instead of her own doctor who will not increase her dosage
