Blood in urine and clotting 3 weeks after starting Zytiga
After starting Zytiga I noticed a few drops of blood but only after a bowel motion. Yesterday after a big bowel motion I couldn’t pee and headed for hospital though on getting there I suppose my bladder was full enough it forced the clot out while going to the toilet. I’ve had blockage problems ana

FYI: New data on progression of visceral mets without PSA progression (discordance) and ARAT/docetaxel therapy
Interesting study, folks. We know physical progression of PCa (i.e., new metastases) can occur without PSA progression. This is known as a discordance. But we don't know how often it occurs or why it occurs. In these instances, our greatest fear is "therapy-induced neuroendocrine prostate cancer

Brain metastasis
New (Portuguese) anecdotal case study below. [1] When I began reading PCa studies on PubMed, I saw a lot of cell studies that used LNCaP (from a lymph PCa cell), PC3 (from a bone PCa cell) &/or DU145 (supposedly a brain met cell, but now described as "derived from a central nervous system metastasis

AUA 2023: PSA Response and Time-to-Castration Resistance Among Patients with mCSPCa Initiated on Apalutamide, Enzalutamide, or Abiraterone
The objective of this study was to describe a “real-world” experience of mCSPC patients treated with apalutamide, enzalutamide, and abiraterone acetate, with a focus on PSA response and development of castration resistance outcomes. This study identified patients with mCSPC newly initiated on apalutamide

Abiraterone and food
My husband has been on Abiraterone for 2 months, during which time his PSA has doubled. I’ve recently read posts about the advantages of taking Abiraterone with food instead of taking it an hour before eating as recommended. The posts are quite old (5 years) - is taking Abi with food still a consideration

Positive results, Pluvicto
I’m at Mayo for my third Pluvicto (Lutetium-177) treatment. Yesterday, I had a PSMA Pet scan to check on progress. I’m happy to report that it’s all positive at this point in the game. I include below the “findings” on the radiology report from the scan which speaks for itself. I look forward to hearing

My PSA tripled in 8 months
I had my RP in Jan 31, 2023, started hormonal therapy from April 17 with Diphereline every 28 days plus one Casodex daily. My PSA went down to 0.005 from May to November. Yesterday I had my blood test again and the report indicated my PSA has jumped to 0.159. I am panic. Can you explain what does

Has anyone experienced a PSA rise after SBRT for bone metastasis? If so, would like to hear your story. Thanks.

Rapidly Rising PSA
As some of you know, I am now under the care of two excellent oncologists, including Prof. De Bono at Royal Marsden Cancer Centre. I was originally deemed to have a non-aggressive cancer (in 14 years my PSA has never exceeded 4.1) However, over the last 6 weeks (when I have been on no treatment whatsoever

PSA drop after ADT
My PSA went from 14.9 ug/l in May to 5.9 ug/l in June to 0.24 ug/l when tested 2 days ago after Lupron injection 3 months ago. Naturally I'm very relieved over the drop.My oncologist has pretty much left the decision to me on the ADT duration. I had earlier voiced my reservation about ADT on account

And on it goes…..
My Joe had his first ambulance ride yesterday. Despite all our communication with the anesthesiologist prior to a minor elbow surgery, he was laid flat on his back for the procedure. When he ‘crashed’ as the surgery ended, they sat him up, gave him two breathing treatments and decided to transport him

Greetings, fellow warriors fighting prostate cancer. ED No More (the prequel)
I've had so many comments since my post "ED no more" that I felt I should offer more. I'm a neophyte on this site. As a matter of fact I avoid this site. I have always adopted an "ignorance is bliss" attitude towards life and my PC. My wife, on the other hand, is a nervous but adventurous individual

First of all my score was 7(3+4) 6.5 to 7 years ago. I was taking nutrients and vitamins to fight the cancer which was working great until I had kidney stone surgery. PSA Test less than four weeks post surgery
I am four post surgery today. I met with radiologist yesterday to discuss pathology report and future treatment. Pathology showed positive margins and 1 of 4 lump nodes positive. MRI, CT and Bone Scan were all negative prior to surgery. I think he is thinking Hormone asap with radiation as soon as

Rash from RT?
My husband is on Radiation treatment 31 of 45. Diagnosed with Gleason 7 (4+3), PSA 4.9 with all indications that it is contained in the prostate, negative bone scan, etc;. My question is, he is getting an itchy rash and some puffiness in his pubic area just above his privates. Has anyone experienced
