Need Help with understanding blood test.
Hello you wonderful people, I’m just wondering if anyone can help me understand these results, I’m not sure if they are good or not so good, I asked my GP for further blood tests ie TPO antibodies, vit D3 as on previous blood tests these weren’t done, he was ok with that & said he would stick on a

update on subacute thyroiditis
Just posting an update on my experience with subacute thyroiditis. Thanks for the support in this forum! Since mid August I was quite unwell with classic symptoms of thyroiditis (significant neck pain, high inflammatory markers) and became quite thyrotoxic. I was eventually given a course of steroids

is it worth trying t3?
Please see my last post for some context. I am just feeling so lost and wondering if t3 might be my answer? Levo only seems to calm some of my symptoms but also brings side effects I cannot tolerate. Levo just pushes my t4 over range and my t3 doesn’t budge and is actually lower on levo than it was

My TSH and T4 are both elevated
Over the course of almost one year, my TSH and T4 are both elevated at times and the endocrinologists act as if they’ve never seen this before. I read a great Canadian article on the Third Thyroid Disease - ATROPHIC- which I have as indicated on ultrasound and CT Scan - barely any thyroid remains from

Sharp increase in TSH
Hi all, After such helpful advice from the lovely people of this forum earlier this year, in June my GP finally agreed (fairly unwillingly) to increase my Levothyroxine dosage from 75mcg to 100mcg as I had been experiencing joint and muscle pain, weight gain, extreme fatigue, and generally feeling terrible

change of Levo from Accord/Actavis to Vencamil
I posted back in August about 100mcgm Accord/Actavis levothyroxine as I was feeling pretty awful. My Blood results showed that my T4 result was only 32% through range. Normally it would be around 65% through range. I also take 15mcgm Sigma Pharma liothyronine. The result for T3 was 83% through range

My daughters thyroid test results
Hi all, I posted on here a while ago about getting a thyroid blood test for my 13 year old daughter as she was finding it difficult to concentrate in class. I have Hashimotos so I just wanted to rule it out. The good news is her results to my eye look ok, but would be grateful for any comments: TSH

Fibromyalgia or Hypothyroidism?
A friend has recently been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I have read a lot about that condition being diagnosed when the patient actually has hypothyroidism. Is there a way to rule out Hashi's? I know that an antibody test won't be conclusive unless they are high, because I (and many others) have

What exactly is classed as 'suppressed TSH'?
I know many doctors tell us we mustn't have a suppressed TSH. And that's a story in itself, as many of us taking T3 have a suppressed TSH. And we also know it's the T4/T3 levels that count and not the TSH BUT - what is the exact definition of 'suppressed'? Is there a paper or link somewhere defining

First ever Medichecks Advanced Thyroid Test
Hello lovely folks, I've had my first ever Medichecks Advanced Thyroid Test and would really appreciate your views on next steps. The TSH result would indicate I need to increase levo, also I'm concerned at high CRP and antibodies! Plus I don't think I convert T4 to T3 very well. Your thoughts are very
