My Butt Is Naked In The Wind
Hi Afibbers, Tough time for me at the moment, since 27/11 been having more or less daily AF episodes with BPM ranging from the slow 65-80 and the more uncomfortable up to 235 when it slipped into SVT first then downgraded into AF. I also had a VT caught on my Kardia. I had another echo and said

What is CHAD score?
2 months ago, I fainted 3 times in one day - 2 at home and the third time in the hospital lobby after being discharged from the ER. In the ER, they detected AFib and gave me cardizem intravenously. I spent the night in the hospital with a Holter monitor and no more episodes occurred. I was sent home

PAF no anticoagulant!
Hi this is my first post and am I'm looking for some reassurance. I had a successful ablation for SVT back in February but have just been diagnosed with PAF after a trip to A&E with heart rate 201. Only one Afib episode???
Hello everyone, I recently posted about having a flare up of ectopics whilst suffering from a cold/virus. (Update about that - they are lessening but still there) This flare up has got me thinking.... Quick history - I have suffered from 'heart flutters' since very young (I think I can remember complaining

Diagnosed with AFIB 3 months ago & stressed out
I was just recently diagnosed with AFIB. I went to lay down and the heart just started banging in my chest like a bunch of marbles let loose. Went to the emergency room and after a cardioversion and 30 hours of monitoring the cardiologist released me. This came totally out of the blue....I am slim,

Exercising on Amiodarone (and in Afib)
Hi - as the last throw of the dice I am taking Amiodarone (Arycor) until I get a cardioversion in January (will be my 7th on top of two ablations). So I am in a-fib - am trying to build my strength again - I do push ups, sit ups and other resistance training and alternate that with step ups on the garden

Persistent AF
HI all. I am taking 10mg Bisoprolol and Digoxin for persistent AF. I was due to have a cardioversion but as the meds seemed to be working I decided to swerve the cardioversion especially as I was told it was only a50/50 chance of success. My question is, should I take all the Bisoprolol at once?

Disopyramide and Vagal AF
I hope this post helps some of you out there. I’ve had PAF for around 15 years that has generally been under control with the use of Flecainide and ablation. 20 months ago I had to come off Flecainide following diagnosis of mild coronary heart disease in one of my arteries. I have been in and out of

Anyone else in afib 100% of the time?
After an ablation, several cardioversions and numerous medications, my pacemaker indicates that I have been in afib 100% of the time since last March. I'm on digoxin (which keeps me from feeling every skip and thump), metoprolol and Xarelto. I feel terrified for the future and discouraged that all

Afib ablation 3 months on.
Hey, So 3 months since I had my pvi ablation for afib. It's been a bumpy road and one I hadn't expected. Basically I spent 2.5 months going out of my mind with worry, exhausted and out of breath with a far worse case of afib than i went in with. 🙈 I really felt like my ability to exercise was gone forever

Volume of ectopics graph in the 17 weeks since my ablation
450 ecgs in 115 days using a KardiaMobil 6L. I ecg after exercise, when Kardia diagnosis is other than Normal Sinus Rhythm, if I am suspicious of even mild palpitations and also following previous ectopics (so if I have ectopics, I’ll do repeat ecgs until they’ve gone).

Mouth Taping
I have been a ' mouth breather' all my life . ( 70 yrs old now). I would say it became problematic as I entered by 50's. Waking up in the middle of the night with extreme dry mouth/throat. Then waking in the morning with a slight headache and low energy. I somehow landed on a 'mouth taping' site (

Here we go again!
It has been seven years since I posted, though I've been checking in on all of you! Amazing to see how things have changed since 2013 when I first followed this feed. I am most grateful for all the information as well as the sharing. I go in tomorrow for my 5th ablation - so for those of you who are

AFib and Herbal Anxiety Meds (I’m new to all this!)
Hello! This is all still relatively new to me and this week my anxiety has been awful! I am on bisoprolol and wondered if it was ok to take Kalms whilst on these beta blockers? I don’t know if I can cope with the anxiety and horrible panicky feelings anymore and need something to help me. I feel so

Feeling sad
Anyone else feel forgotten Having a moan, I was diagnosed three years ago with AFib , I am 73. This disease is the most awful thing and no one in the medical profession seems interested . I have no contact with my Consultant and my Doctors told me you have a chronic condition , learn to live with it.

A bit disheartened and confused
A little over 2 years ago at age 36 I experienced the first of what I came to find out was an Afib episode (of course, not until after being told I was just having panic attacks by some very unhelpful ER personnel). This was about a week after a doctor had prescribed me rizatriptan for headaches (

PAF changing experiences
Hi, I do not post very often but read the posts every day. I thought the Patients Day was excellent this year. Brief recap of my history:- I am 80 years young and have had PAF since January 2001. I would have one or two episodes a year until last year when I had them every couple of weeks. This year

My PVC’s are back! I used to take Escitalopram for 4 years to keep them under control.
I have found 2 studies that note that Escitalopram could be a precursor to AFib. Another item that cardiologists don’t mention. PVC’s are making my heart do double backflips at night causing anxiety. Anyone in the same situation?
