Feeling fatigue and lightheaded after ablation
I had a pulmonary vein catheter ablation 6 weeks ago and all was relatively well till about week 4. For the last 2 weeks I feel fatigue and lightheaded is this expected during healing? I do not feel any afib (my watch ecg also indicate i am in NSR), my pulse is elevated and spikes if I move/walk around

Alcohol after Cardioversion
Some of you asked me to update you after my cardioversion. I stayed in NSR for five days until I drank half a bottle of wine at a belated birthday celebration. Before some of you with sharp pens tell me I was stupid I can since being diagnosed with AFib I have cut my drinking to moderate, averaging

Hi everyone, I am new here, leaky valves , palpitations too. Is Magnesium effective?
I am originally from India, live in Maryland, age 81 years. Had a great life in this U.S.A. Was research chemist for Big Chemical Company, with 35+ years of industrial experience. Have palpitations at least 2 times a day. Echo cardiogram has been stable. Feel anxiety often. Is there a low cost pill

Migraine after catheter ablation
I had my ablation two weeks ago. I was ill the next morning, didn't feel like eating normally for four days and had an attack of migraine every single day for eleven days, some were worse than others. I thought it was just me and I ended up in A&E on the fifth day. I was given Sumatriptan tablets.

Flutters
hi. I have permanent afib and enlarged heart. I have just had my best fortnight since being diagnosed and put on meds. It would seem they have my meds right at last. I have been trying to keep my heart rate at under 120bpm and my resting rate is around 80-90bpm. However at times it shoots up to 140+

No medication
So I finished my meeting with the endo, she said my symptoms were mainly due to anxiety and depression and so she prescribed me Cipralex (Lexapro). She said as I was subclinical, if she were to prescribe me with thyroid medication, it will make my anxiety worse. I have another meeting with her in 2

Wondering what to expect
To the amazing and wise members of this group, I inform you that I have been diagnosed with level IV PCa with Gleason score of 9 and bone metastisis throughout my body. I have been on ADT for 18 months doing intense exercise (running and weights, the latter against doctor's orders) and have received

Amiodarone & Bisoprolol
I am currently on 100mg Amiodarone at night and 2.5mg Bisoprolol twice per day. I am having sleep and daily tiredness problems which is side effect of above medications. My Doctor has given me Zoicone 5mg which I take when I wake in the night as it then gives me a good nights sleep. My heart nurse

Happy Day!
A few weeks ago I had my annual appointment (an on-line one this time) with my EP, Dr. Rodney Horton at TCAI in Austin. He told me that my chance of my Afib being fixed are statistically 96 percent. I do not need to follow up with him unless my heart decides to act up again. I am thrilled as it has been

To ablate or not ablate, that is the question...
I had a successful (so far), cardioversion nearly 8 weeks ago. I spoke to my cardiologist yesterday and he said we are only managing my AFib, with medication and strict lifestyle change. He wants me to consider an ablation as if it is successful then it will ‘fix’ the problem as opposed to just managing

What are typical second line treatment options for afib?
Background: I’m 28 years old no heart issues. Had blood test, normal echo results, have normal weight and BMI. I’ve had my first two bouts of afib this year. Unsure what caused them. But my first was when i broke my arm. My Cardiologist says not to worry due to my age and basically 0% stroke risk. I
