Did you Know? 🤔
Did you know 80% of sudden cardiac deaths could be avoided if a defibrillator was used together with CPR within a few minutes? These two simple steps can save thousands of lives each year in UK. Zhittya announces "Safe and Effective" treatment for PD
I know many of us (including myself) are skeptical about this company (they charge 50 thousand if you want to be a 'volunteer test subject'). I don't begrudge anyone an honest living. So let's just hope they come up with some good results to help us. --------------------------------- "FGF-1, Zhittya

I am still a newbie Afibber, just diagnosed 4 weeks ago and waiting for echocardiogram. I have only had 1 bad AFib episode so far, ending up in hospital etc. But I know they can occur

Pilates and Afib
Hey All, You know mild exercise is not ruled out and indeed recommended for people with Afib and with heart disease at large. Yoga being the mostly referred as a particularly good exercise in Afib due to its regulatory effect on breath and destressing the body. I have been ablated for Afib and Tachycardia

Scientists using cells to hopefully grow "mini livers"
Just a super interesting article on a clinical trial that is using cells from donated livers to see if ectopic mini livers can be grown in human lymph nodes that would provide additional liver function in people with ESLD. 2027 is not too far away! Regenerative medicine is advancing yall! Exciting and

Bisoprolol, Sotalol and Coronary Artery Disease.
I had a phone consultation with a cardiologist today and it was agreed that I would have a CT angiogram in 4-6 weeks. He considers that there is a “moderate” probability that I have coronary artery disease. In the meanwhile he wants me to switch from Sotalol to Bisoprolol. I am reluctant to do this as

afib and blood pressure
Hello all, paramedics just left about half hour ago and I need to ask a question. My blood pressure shot up to 203/134 at my last reading before the paramedics arrived. They took blood pressure and said it was 177/97 they saw I was very anxious and stressed out. Asked if I wanted to be taken to emergency

Potential New Treatment for “Brain Fog” in Long COVID Patients
Although brain fog in thyroid patients has often been dismissed by medics (whether not understood, not believed, or some other reason, I cannot say). However, it is coming through as a recognised symptom of Long Covid. Hopefully, even if the actual detailed causes are slightly or radically different

phase 1 clinical trials at Royal Marsden — anyone has experience?
hi all .. I’ve been offered either a phase 1 clinical trial or a phase 3 clinical trial at the Royal Marsden . The difference is that in phase 1 , a possible new drug is having its first tests but in phase 3 , the drug has been shown to work in some patients and may move to being approved. however ,
