Hypertension & CLL
I have read the various posts about any connection between hypertension and CLL. I honestly don't know and the doctors do not seem to think there is. But can anybody explain my experience? I have been taking meds for hypertension for about 20 years (Irbesartan 300mg and Bendroflumethiazide 2.5mg) and

I have recently been on Atenolol and I think it doesn't suit me. It was for my high blood pressure, which has remained high while I have been taking them. The GP has now prescribed Doxazosin 1 mg. I have not taken one yet as I am very apprehensive. I am not good with any medication! Do you think the

Other Heart Problems or Anxiety?
I am 19 years old and was diagnosed with mitral valve prolapse with mild regurgitation when I was about 5 years old. I was terrified of having a heart attack or dying suddenly even as a child I would be terrified to fall asleep because of heart palpitations. I experienced my 1st panic attack in 2012

Migraine /cluster headache /red eye
I have suffered from migraine since childhood. As a teenager, I developed the headache on one side through my right eye. The migraine became so bad in my early 20s , lasting 3-4 days with severe pain, sickness and inability to do anything that the doctor suggested I try beta blockers as a prophylactic

Does the Qrisk stop doctors bothering to really talk to patients, or even really looking at them?
They get the nurse to take the blood and it gets sent off to the lab. They then tick the boxes on the Qrisk algorhythm and call you in [in my husband's case] 'To discuss a statin' if the risk rises over 10%. He had said he wouldn't take one but I did suggest he listened to what the dr said so went along

what differentiates ectopic beats from other irregular heartbeats
I am 58 and have taken beta blockers since i was 21 for occasional episodes of irregular heartbeats- these always went back into sinus within 48 hours themselves and never had to be hospitalised or had time off work with it - more of a nuisance and restriction on lifestyle etc. Had an ablation for SVT

Migraine hell and Botox
I had Botox for migraine a week ago, 30 injections. I'm surprised no-one on here has said how painful it was as I found it really hurt when the Botox was injected, like a hornet sting. Obviously it will be worth it if it works but I'm not looking forward to the next lot. Like everyone else I have tried

Post-op and a bit scared...
Hi everyone, This past Wednesday I had an ablation done to correct my paroxysmal a-fib. As soon as I woke up I found myself in normal sinus rhythm, but my resting heart rate was a good 30-40 bpm above normal. My EP told me this was expected and that my heart rate would drop as the heart tissue healed

Weight gain and Lipomas, are they linked to anti TNF treatment?
Has anyone else, that is on a anti TNF had a large weight gain. I have also developed Lipomas over the last year, in both armpits, each side of the groin, on my left bicep and just above my right knee. So if like me, I have lipomas bulging from every part of my torso, are there any internally that could

Cluster headaches? I'm not so sure
I've had migraine for years. I'm currently battling with chronic sinusitis (which started following a mild cold last summer) and haven't got better having tried home remedies and medication prescribed by GP. I saw GP again yesterday and mentioned that last week when I had a migraine my eye went watery
