PMR & ARRYHMIAS
I also have SVT which is a heart arrhythmia for which I take beta blockers statins and
aspirin
. Just lately I have been getting palpitations more often - 5 lots yesterday alone. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience of this and whether it is down to the steroids.

Since the bypass he has been on 80mg Atorvastatin, 75mg
aspirin
and 1.25mg Bisoprolol. He had initial check ups (for the first 4 months post op). I'm not a medical person but think he should be having liver function checks due to the high statin dose.

Effect of stress on PV
I’m on daily Hydroxy and
aspirin
with the odd venesection and generally my condition is stable. The last couple of weeks I’ve been under a lot of stress and I feel as unwell today as I did pre diagnosis. Could this be caused by the stress?

Is it common to get chest pains with thyroid problems?
Last week they said it was a gastro problem (I am on
aspirin
, clopidogrel, BP tablets, beta blockers and statins as I had a heart attack and stent fitted December last year. PPI's to reduce acid cause me problems with wind coming up).

Heart attacks associated with amitriptyline?
Aspirin
, clopidogrel, statins, beta blockers, BP tablets. I thought I had trigeminal neuralgia for years on and off until I saw a neurologist last week but he said he suspects my condition is hemicrania continua, very similar to TN.

Considering Besremi
I am just being treated with
aspirin
(81 mg, once a day) and phlebotomy. I usually need phlebotomy every 6-8 weeks to keep hematocrit under 45, currently 41.5 after last phlebotomy with platelets at 645, WBC 11.3, RBC 5.45.

Is this a sign of progression from ET to MF?
I'm only on a daily
aspirin
so I was surprised to see my platelets have gone from increasing to now dropping again, as well as concerned about the anemia. The doctor didn't express concern but to be honest, I felt quite dismissed.

Health Anxiety Sucks
So I self prescribed low-dose
aspirin
like a freaking idiot and I did not take it properly. I was taking it with a tiny sip of water right before bed. Apparently not taking it with enough water and then lying down after of the two worst things that you can do when you take an

Confusing outcome from mitral valve repair
My 9 year old son underwent open heart surgery in March for mitral valve repair for servere regurgitation. They are still trying to find out what caused it, all they know is he’s had some sort of infection/inflammation of the valves some point. Can’t say how long ago but the valve leaflets were like

Stroke Risk From Afib & The Role Of Blood Thinners
Actually, my Cardiologist didn't think I needed blood thinners either as I was having infrequent periods of relatively short Afib so he had me on low-dose
aspirin
. Then, when I was scheduled for my Ablation this past March, my EP insisted I start on Pradaxa which I have been on ever since.
