Has anyone with knee arthritis got on well with an e-bike?
Hello all, About two years ago I bought a bike to ride on weekends etc, but the osteoarthritis in my knees really flared. I got my positioning checked at bike shop which helped but I find the bike very hard on my knees. I have been seeing more e-bikes around but know they are expensive and wanted to

Inflammatory Arthritis, with PMR/GCA
Well, I did something that was stupid. I vacuumed and mopped my entire 2nd floor last Saturday. I moved furniture. I tried to store a large item under the bed, and when it got stuck I tugged real hard to get it back out. Later that evening I developed level 10 paint, blood pressure shot up, and went

I am concerned for my 20 year old daughter who was diagnosed with RA a few months ago. Initially she was put on Methotrexate & steroids. She had trouble with Methotrexate (caused shortness of breath) and had to stop it. Then started on Sulfasalazine and her RA symptoms actually worsened & she was

Update on: Off MTX. What comes next?
Saw my rheumy yesterday. If I have a flare, I go back to see her right away otherwise in three months. My bloodwork came back good. She does not feel I have PMR but she said it may be osteoarthritis rather than rheumatoid arthritis. My bloodwork is not definitive but it is definitely autoimmune according

Reduced Pred from 10 to 8 mg
I reduced from 10mg and have been on 8mg prednisone for 21 days. Just started feeling a little pain in my shoulders, could it be inflammation building back up or my osteoarthritis? I thought after 21 days I would be ok on 8mg.

RA Research - is there any?
I woke up this morning and was immediately annoyed!! I was thinking about something someone said in a post yesterday.. it wasn't the comment that annoyed me but the sad truth behind it - which was basically that if you have cancer there's a chance you may be cured but not if you have RA. This echoes

Pain in knees, elbow and joints w/o arthritis?
I know I am sarcoid but arthritis has been ruled out--so why do I have increasing pain in my wrist, knees, finger joints and ankles. I am also currently on MTX--can it actually cause these kinds of symptoms? I was also on a heavy dose of prednisone for months. Thanks guys.

Fibromyalgia diagnosis ruled out almost immediately
Hi there, I went to see a Rheumatologist a couple of weeks ago (with private med. insurance) and she sent me for two lots of blood tests and many scans. She suspected Rheumatoid Arthritis... She said that in order to be tested for Fibromyalgia your widespread pains should be 'explained' by other causes

Recommendation for private rheumatologist
Hi, this is my first post as I've just joined. I have just spent a week in hospital as my elbow hasn't been able to straighten for 4 weeks and I became crippled in pain. I was seen by the orthopaedic team who diagnosed me with bursitis and cellulitis. I am concerned that I have rheumatoid arthritis

I probably won't hang around for long because everytime I post here I get run out by the angry mob, but I just wanted to give you guys a quick update on my wife. My Wife was diagnosed with Sero-Positive
