ANA & Connective Tissue Disorder results Graves
Hoping for some help. I got called into the doctors on Monday to discuss my latest bloods & my continued weight loss, I had already discussed my thyroid bloods with the endocrine nurse so was not really sure what is was about. My GP said that I had tested positive for ANA & connective tissue disease

Atrophic Thyroiditis?
Hello everyone. After all the advice I received from my last posts, I have upped my Levothyroxine from 100mcg x 3 days and 125mcg x 4, to 125mcg every day. I’m still also talking 10mcg of Lio a day. I’ve booked a blood draw for 2 weeks time by which point I’ll have done 7 weeks of this. BUT meantime

Blood results help
Hi I have had blood test tsh is one (range 0.4 to 5) and T4 is 14 ( range is 9 to 19). Also had an ultrasound which showed altered echotexture but no enlargement of thyroid. Are these results OK? Have symptoms of underactive thyroid but results all in range. Thanks

Erfa to Liothyronine Thybon Henning Dose Conversion
Hello, I used to take ERFA and levothyroxine but as my T3 was slightly high, my new Dr has put me on Thybon Henning so it will be a bit easier to manage T3 and T4 dosing (it's difficult to cut down on NDT as if I lower it I'm also lowering my total T4 dose, and I run low in T4). I have a feeling he

Thyroid ultrasound
I've had my thyroid ultrasound done and the report says I have a very small gland. Smaller than average. Does this suggest less activity? Has anyone else been diagnosed with a smaller than usual thyroid gland

suppressed tsh
I’ve recently changed doctors. Been feeling dreadful on Erfa and gained 2 stone in 8 months. My previous endo would not increase dose despite low t3 and t4 as my tsh was optimal My new doctor says I need the increase and has said my thyroid probably doesn’t work anyway after 17 years and I need

Monitoring Thyroid
I have a condition which is known as an MPN . I have a haematology appointment this week when my Consultant is going to discuss a new treatment. This treatment is known to interfere with thyroid function and anyone going on it will need their thyroid function monitored as it can cause thyroid issues

Anticipated endo appointment 🤦♀️
Hi everyone ❤️ As some members will know I posted a few days ago that my gp will not do my repeat prescription for my T3 until I see an endocrinologist, for which she is doing the referral. As I told her I've got around 7 possibly 8 days of T3 left. Obviously I'm going to need to contact the surgery

No thyroid gland so where does TSH fit?
Always wondered but never asked - I had my thyroid removed years ago due to large goitre(+ blood tests normal so all hypo symptoms in my head said GP). Diagnosed from biopsy with Hashimotos. On T4 only til recently (don't convert well at all). Learned so much from this forum, hence now with private

Help boosting thyroid without medication?
Hello all I have posted before as my thyroid function is poor but always comes back in range (my TSH never rises even with low levels) so no chance of medication on the NHS (other than statins for high cholesterol which I refuse). I did some recent tests TSH 1.95 (0.27-4.2) T4 14.6 (12-22) T3

TPO ab dropped to 'normal' levels
Good Morning all! I'm not here very often these days because largely thanks to the advice and support of the superstars here, my thyroid medication has been under control for a few years now. I hope this is a beacon of hope for those of you still battling through. I take my NHS t4 and I supplement

SIDE EFFECTS FROM HYPO MEDS
Anyone else out there who’s resistant to all the hypothyroid meds they’ve tried? Over the last year I’ve tried Synthroid, Synthroid with Cytomel, Erfa, Erfa with Synthroid, and compounded NDT - which is pretty much all we have available to us in Canada. They all increase my hypo symptoms and give
