B12 levels after loading dose
I have recently had my 5 loading B12 injections for vitamin B12 deficiency. My starting level was 167 and after a blood test after 2 weeks of finishing they were 1227. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if this is normal. I unfortunately have had very little information from my Doctor's so any help

It has been a difficult and quite dramatic 4 months, what with coeliac then AKI. But look at me now.
The Most Important thing I have learnt from this forum is to get hold of your blood results. It has been eye opening.

Active B12 test from Medichecks
Hi, just had my blood test done which came back as 256pmol/L and they recommend I reduce any supplement I am using. Last July it was 39.1 and after trying patches and oral spray I self injected 6 x 1000mcg Hydroxocobalamin spread over 2 weeks starting 3 weeks ago. I feel a lot better, memory has returned

Is this as good as it's going to get? I'm new to this forum and infact it's the first time I've dipped my big toe into such waters.
I woke this morning feeling particuraly horrible which is now the new norm but today I wasn't able to endure another day of just getting through it, so I thought I'd share a bit of me for some of you empathic folk out there. My story begins about 7 years ago when I took myself to the GP feeling extremely

How long from your first injection did you start to feel better?
Hi, I just started getting B12 injections 1 month ago. I still feel really tired and fatigued. How long will I need to wait to feel normal again? I have a cyanocobalamin 1,000 mcg injection daily.

Ferritin of 56
I was taking iron tablets for anaemia for a few months, and when I was re-tested recently my ferritin was 56. The GP advised me that I was no longer anaemic and to stop the iron. I am extremely tired and I have diffuse hair loss. I have started taking a maintenance dose of ferrous sulphate again and

Can you have anemia with normal CBC?
I have low b12 but normal CBC and Hemoglobin. Iron levels are normal. I'm waiting on the folate test. Does this mean I am not anemic?

Many abnormalities in my full blood count
hi, i got my blood test results and would like some help figuring it out as my appointment to review my results is quite far away. I had a platelet count of 474 and 8.8% of eosinophil. I had also many * in my full blood count as they were either too low or high. Is there something i should be concerned

New... urgently needing pointers or advice update W Blood Results
EDITED to include blood results at the end. Thank you guys for all the support.. I'm blown away. Hi all. I am a young uni student who has had increasing fatigue over the past year or so. It has really interfered with my academia. In 2018, I was diagnosed with anaemia by my old GP - not through bloods

OPD Endoscopy
I got My OPD endoscopy done - 2 months back and the reports were all normal ..... Do I still need to do a IF Antibody test as symptoms of b12 still linger & ringing in ears still continue - with no changes . Dr's feel the symptoms are also similar to anxiety and I may be suffering from it. My B12 levels

What form of iron?
I am tormented nightly by RLS secondary to Peripheral Neuropathy of many years standing despite taking 300mg of Pregabalin for years. I have resisted the DA's the Neurologist prescribed - I would rather suffer than go down that route and I am thinking that an iron supplement might be worth a try at least

MCV
Does anyone know what this means on NICE Guidelines" An MCV less than 95 femtolitres has a sensitivity of 97.6% for iron deficiency anaemia. In people with anaemia and an MCV of more than 95 femtolitres, there is a low probability of iron deficiency. My MCV was 83.4 fL

Question # 1 ---- I have read that hydroxicobalamin has replaced cyanocobalamin in the UK and that Japan uses methylcobalimin almost exclusively and is especially good reversing nerve damage. Further, cyanocobalamin is slightly toxic. Is either hydroxicobalimin or methylcobalamin available in the

Watch & Wait versus the risk of Richter’s
I am newly diagnosed. No “B symptoms”. I have probably had this for a few years already given that my lymphocytes have been sufficiently high to “qualify”. So time to play Tevye (forgive the brief intrusion by Michael Buble): On the one hand, so long as I am feelin’ good, I can continue to W&W. On the

Post fuming.
I firstly want to thank all of the wonderful people on here who have educated themselves on what is a very complex issue, and then take the time to pass on that education to others. I posted on here that a GP at my surgery had changed my prescription without consulting me. I was upset and angry in
