The only way to contact my surgery is now through the Ask my GP website. I do self inject weekly with b12 I using my own supplies which I haven’t told them about. I have also been receiving b12 for self injecting from the surgery at an ever decreasing amount as they keep saying I only need to have

B12 Dosage and Tablets whilst injecting for vegans?
Our parents live in Europe and are B12 deficient (130pgml 77 years / 210pgml 70 years old vegans). GP told them that the levels are fine (slightly low), that at max they will be a bit lethargic, but that's OK. One is unable to look up (as he gets dizzy and feels sick) and both have vertigo. One of them

Vitamin advice
I know from here that multi vitamins are generally no good I wondered what the experts think to these Alive woman’s energy vitamins please? I currently take vitamins D, K, C, magnesium and selenium, but wouldn’t mind trying something for an extra energy boost! In addition to the photo, they also contain

B12 Deficient.
Hi, I've been diagnosed with B12 deficiency and I'd like to know what options are available to me as far as buying and self-administering injections goes. What is the estimated cost and are there likely to be any side effects? Thanks in advance.

Just an update
Hi All! I had a heart cath, yesterday, and my left arterial descending artery was 98% blocked! There were actually two blockages, one dislodged and broke up when he attempted to place the stent. The pieces then flowed to the next blockage. That one was successfully stented. I am so very grateful that

General Anaesthetic Reassurance
Dear friends, in 3 weeks I am having a 2 hour plastic surgery op under GA. This is the first time since developing Bronchiectasis and Asthma that I've had an op. My asthma is well managed usually, I'm on high dose Relvar which I can't reduce, plus Montelukast. I know we should never read Dr Google but

Folivane Plus Cap to keep hgb in normal range ?
I am 87, since 3 years on Imbruvica for CLL. My CBC is now always normal, except hgb is slightly below normal. Two month' ago my hgb dropped yet a bit lower and the hematologist prescribed Folivane Plus Cap to avoid the need for iron injections. After one month of Folivane Plus Cap pills with iron

IRON, severe hair loss, 2.5TSH - what to tackle first?
Good morning all - I had a question re iron deficiency and most likely incorrect t4 dosage. Greetings
Hi there, new to the group so thought i would introduce myself. I had PV diagnosed in 2009 but mutated to MF confirmed in April 2021, on Jakavi to reduce my massive splenomegaly and doing well. Hoping for a SCT in the New Year. I’m just turned 59, healthy and pretty fit other than the MF and associated

How can the drs say my results are normal nfa but my private blood test tell me I’m deficient in so many things and very hypothyroid???
So I called my Dr after having results from my medichecks full thyroid blood test because it showed that my tsh level was 18 instead of below 5 and I am vitamin b12, folate serum and vitamin D deficient. My dr wanted to do full bloods and check for pernicious anemia that was suggested by medichecks

I'd been feeling weary so had bloods done at doctor's. My iron was low so GP prescribed iron tablets.
I'd been feeling weary so had bloods done at doctor's. My iron was low; it has been for years; (I think it's always been low, even when I ate meat. I was told by a doctor 30 years ago that I was slightly anaemic; I think at the time I was hypo but it wasn't diagnosed) so GP has prescribed iron tablets
