Neg intrinsic factor and parietal cell antibodies
Hi all Is it possible to have negative intrinsic factor and parietal cell antibodies and normal gastrin and have PA? or would it be a run of the mill low b12?

Approach to low B12
Results suggest normal intrinsic factor but B12 levels have been falling to below normal over a period of 4 years. My symptoms have been extreme exhaustion, muscle fatigue and involuntary contractions and twitches in legs. I also have tinnitus and occasionally very sharp darting pains in legs not associated

B12 serum levels and IFA test?
Hi , I’ve just had some blood taken and they are going to check for Intrinsic Factor. I had been supplementing daily with 5000 ug Methylcobalamin but stopped two weeks prior to test. I may have got this wrong, but I thought the GP said that if the lab saw “normal” levels of B12 in my blood (I.e. anything

Hi I am very happy after seeing my new GP today about my results and he has increased my dose of Levothyroxine from 25mcg to 50mcg and a repeat thyroid test done 6-8 weeks from now. I took a copy of my bloods run by my previous GP and my new one said my results of complete blood count and iron panel

Weak positive IFA
Hi all, I've just called my doctors for the results of my intrinsic factor antibodies test and been told it's weak positive. Apparently it's been sent back to the lab for further tests/interpretation but the receptionist couldn't tell me what. Does anyone have any experience of this? What does this

Extreme Diets.
I define an extreme diet as one that flirts with deficiency of one or more essential nutrients. Sure, one can always take a pill to counter deficiency, but that would detract from the idea of an ideal diet meeting all of the needs of the body. Is there a place for an extreme diet when cancer is present

Confused...
Hi, this is my first post so please bear with me! I have had various blood tests done as in February this year I started with severe roaming joint pain, I have had an ANA of 1:160 over the past 4 years (this was detected due to a severe skin condition) so I have always known lupus might rear it's head
