Accupuncture and herbs
I had another great accupuncture today and feeling good tonight after one of the worst few weeks. Today he has given me herbal medicine which should help with the inflammation and pain and hoping I can reduce the codeine as makes me so woozy when I'm trying to work. I was just wondering if anyone else

My symptoms match that of having the Aspergillus fungus
From the research I have done, the suggested treatment calls for the use of an anti-fungal (Sporanox) and a steroid. Which steroid do you recommend and how long should it be taken? My coughing is extremely bad when I laydown to sleep. Every couple of hours I wake up coughing so bad because of an extreme

Alternative Therapy.
(Or, as some prefer, Complementary Therapy). But 'Alternative' is what is says. An alternative to orthodox medicine. 'Complementary' means to complement orthodox medicine. One has to make a personal choice. Those who know about this can look away, but having run an Alternative Therapy clinic for some

Is it possible to get over anxiety without medication or with herbal medicine such as St John's Wort?
I am suffering from anxiety after changing jobs abou 7 months ago. I had been in my old job 9 years and although I was bored was very settled. This is quite different although it's tme same field and I use the same skills. I got stressed because my boss went through a stressful period herself and was

Birth Control and Behcets
I just wanted to share this with the ladies of the group. As I am newly diagnosed I have been devoting a lot of my time to reading and researching everything I can get my hands on. After reading that there is a correlation between the Pill and inflammation as well as auto-immune disorders, I stopped

I've swapped Amitriptyline for herbal supplements!
Wondering if anyone has, like me ditched the amitriptyline for herbal supplements, food supplements and a better diet? I've had fibro for at least 14 years though only started on amitriptyline in 2003 once I got diagnosed. I've had muscle pain since I was 15 and bouts of depression on and off since my

Do any of you take vitamins and/or herbal supplements?
Have they decreased your pain & stiffness at all? What about interactions with prednisone? Thanks for your input.

Has anyone tried taking 5 HTP herbal supplements to help with their Fibro symptoms?! If so, could we have your comments please -
(Please remember when taking any supplements that it's best to get advice from your Doctor or Consultant before starting to take them as they might have adverse effects or not be wise to take them with your current medications.)

I have cyclizine injections at home to enable me to tolerate the high levels of anti fungal medication I need to cope with the constant oral thrush I have. Normally I have it IM but as anyone who has had it knows it stings like hell and eventually you run out of places you can reach yourself. When I've

Intraconazole
Sorry to do this I have quite a few questions which I am curious about... Just wondering if anyone else is on intraconazole or other antifungals for asthma and ABPA? Are you allergic to more than one mould/fungi? Are you being precribed intraconazole or other antifungal for the short term or long
