Flying.....?
Hi just wondering if you can fly when you have aspergillosis ? It would certainly lift our moods if we could get away. We feel we have lost control of our lives since my husbands illness. We still await results of lung biopsy and husband saw gp this week who said he shouldn't worry about referral re

Does anyone here used or consumed herbal supplements or tea like Turmeric?
During my days with cancer, I've read that turmeric is helpful for cancer patients going thru chemo and it promotes cancer cell death. Has anyone here tried that, or other type of herbal tea or supplements? and if so.. kindly share your experience.

Bronchoscope completed.
Another procedure done. Broncoscope procedure wasn't as bad as husband was fearing, yet again in life it's the fear of the unknown that scares. Biopsy taken of the lung. On way down found a polyp so they took a sample of that and now referring him to ENT urgently. More worry and waiting. Left with

Asthma medication and oesophagitis candidiasis
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum (new to forums in general actually), but I am not new to asthma having suffered from it for over fifty years (I am now 53). I suspect my condition would be described as moderate; I'm on flixotide 250 which does a very good job at controlling it and I am able to

Supplements and Prednisolone
I asked my Dr about taking herbal supplements such as glucosamine / chondroitin, and menopace whilst taking Pred, he said he didn't really know if there were any interactions with supplements. Does anyone know where I can find out more information or should I just ask the pharmacist?

IF YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.. BEFORE PD, I WAS A CHEESE BURGER.
from my blog https://diaryofamadparkie.wordpress.com/ It has been said “You are what you eat” and it may be true. New research in mice suggests. upon aging, a high-fat diet significantly accelerated the onset of neurological symptoms in mice that were genetically predisposed to develop Parkinson’s

Hair thinning,dry scalp
I believe my hair has got thinner & my scalp ultra dry & itchy since my T4 conversion declined around 2010 after 13 years of Hashimotos,on thyroxine . But I also believe, after reading forums like"Earth Clinic"that I have folliculitis with chronic fungal or bacterial infections. My ageing german shepherd

CT scan with an iodine based contrast medium?
Is this safe for a thyroidian? It looks from the research as if the iodine is potentially a bad idea anyway, but on top of that I have multiple allergies. I’ve never knowingly had a problem with an allergy to iodine, but then I’d never had allergies to anything else before the last eight years. In
