Does anyone know anything about a product called wound seal, think there are others, which is available in USA to stop bleeding when you cut yourself on blood thinners?

3 months, 2 weeks post ablation review with EP. Swap notes ?
He said the variable of being female is the weaker one, so implying I could stop the
anticoagulants
, tho not yet. Has referred me to another cardiologist for advice on whether to fit an occlusion device, (which protects against the blood pooling in the atrium.

Lump in stomach after blood thinner injections?
Hi, recovering after fall on holiday in Tenerife, had to have full hip replacement. Back home now but my question is after having 14 blood thinner injections into my stomach (alternate sides each night) I can feel a lump under my skin on my left side, is this normal, I can’t remember having this after

Internal Bleed. Post Ablation
Hi All. Back to posting my journey 3 and half weeks post ablation. What a ride. I am writing this from a hospital bed which has been my home for the last 6 days. I guess i need to mention Zarelto. It would appear i developed an intestinal bleed probably due to this anticoagulant. I lost blood volume

Anticoagulants cause back pain?
I've been doing a lot of research on whether
anticoagulants
can cause back pain. What I've found is that if you look hard enough, any drug can be reported to cause any side effects. So, realistically, I'm asking those who have experience with
anticoagulants

GP Surgery will not offer thinning.... Help Please.
Great job AF Association, by the way and thanks for the support you give to us all. I attended the annual Patients' Day at the ICC in October and came away with a firm commitment to seek blood thinning at the earliest opportunity. By way f some background, I am 53 and have suffered with paroxysmal AF

Maybe not APS after all
As some will know I was diagnosed with cerebral APS approximately 2 years ago at Guys Lupus unit. At my last appointment as I am not responding to warfarin or hydrochloroquine Prof D’Cruz thinks it may be a misdiagnosis. I am still lupus anticoagulant positive but my white matter lesions have increased

MANIPULATION UNDER ANAESTHETIC (MUA) POST TOTAL KNEE RPLACEMENT. (TKR)
Hello All, Another update. Despite working hard I have been unable to retain anything much more than 90 degree flexion after my TKR at the end of August. I still have a small amount of swelling although the swelling has gone down considerably in the last few weeks. Every time I do my exercises - 3

Sailing experience
I was hoping to book a sailing introduction day that is described as suitable for ages 12 - 80 and all abilities. However while I was completing the online booking I came across a statement that they generally won’t take anyone on blood thinners. Well, I’m on aspirin. That’s a blood thinner isn’t it.

CoQ10 and Blood Thinning Drugs.
That is interesting, just had a little search and found this from The Mayo Clinic ( if the link fails) Whilst it may be good for some heart conditions, other illnesses, and possible issues with statins, there is a note of caution: “Interactions Possible interactions include:

Chest pain after stent
Is this a normal condition. Could it be caused by the blood thinner I have to take for 30 days afterwards? I had a second heart catheter 2 days ago because of chest pain, they said everything looks normal,,,,

Sickness and medication
Hi all, just thinking, everyone is coming down with sickness around here! How will this affect us on medication? I’m thinking bisoprolol, artovastatin and Pradaxa anticoagulant.

More meds
Had a partial knee replacement on 22nd Nov. I made sure to inform surgeon and Anaesthetist that I have SVT & AF and the meds I’m on, Bisoprolol & Flecainaide. To ensure the extra they’ll give me is compatible. The extras are now a blood thinner Eliquis and opiate Oxycodone. Well, how to know what’s

Combined antiplatelet and anticoagulant therapy for ET clot prevention.
Hi All, Has anyone had experience with combination therapy for prevention of clots with ET or PV? I was switched from Clopidogrel to Apixaban after a suspected mesenteric clot and ischaemic bowel bleed. I had been stable for a long time and platelets still just over normal levels but something changed

EPIC Study - interesting finding and recommendations
The second recommendation is that vitamin K antagonists should be used compared with no treatment or with aspirin, and non–vitamin K antagonist oral
anticoagulants
are preferred over vitamin K antagonists.

Advice please on blood thinners
Hi everyone Following my first ablation in 2017 I was put on Rivaroxaban. However I found that I was getting more and more tired whilst taking it, particularly in the afternoons. I went away for a few days and forgot to take it with me and the tiredness seemed to disappear. When I got home and looked

Newbie .. follow up
So following on from my previous long post, I had my telephone consult with the lupus unit tonight so wanted to update. Apparently between the blood test results and the physically presentation she feels that there is currently no active lupus - the swelling I present could be soft tissue or even skin

I AM ON STUDY TRANSPLANT LIST
I signed up at my Transplant Hospital to be one of the study participants in the hep C+ deceased kidney transplant recipients. The transplant doctor said it could be three days or 70 days until I receive a kidney, but it will not be waiting four more years on the Wait List. I was put on the Wait List
