I eventually i saw my gp, had an ecg, then heart scan etc and was told I had arterial fibulation. Been

I’m on APIXABAN with no effects, however my GP surgery (the pharmacist) has suggested I take a STATIN (Atorvastatin) because of slightly high cholesterol (5.11). I’m good with that esp having had it all explained to me, however, does anyone else take a statin alongside their anticoagulant and if so

Shaking my head
I'm shaking my head in disbelief and trying to stay calm and quiet, 😭 first of all I'm sorry to a few people on here and say, I didn't get back to your replies and I wanted to say thank you for your kind and supportive words, At 10 o'clock we returned from hospital where I've been since Sunday night

Does anyone deal with chronic headaches with ET JAK2?
I was diagnosed in June 2022 with ET JAK2. I have taken 500 mg Hydroxyurea starting daily, then every other day, 3x a week, and 4x a week. I had breaks between each timeframe. This time I went off it for a month because of headaches. However, the headaches continue daily. Usually with

Thudding heart!
Hello. I'm hoping that those with more experience can help me! I have just been diagnosed with Atrial Flutter with rapid ventricular response and given bisoprolol 2.5mg as well as blood thinners. So, now my heart rate and blood pressure are within normal parameters - but I have a very "thuddy" feeling

Low haemoglobin and Edoxaban
My haemoglobin levels have gone low does anyone have any knowledge if this is due to Edoxaban blood thinners. Is there an alternative to Edoxaban. I’ve had 4 episodes of AF over the past 2 years lasting about 5 hours. thanks Joan United Kingdom

Might be diagnosed with Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS)
Hi I previously in January 2023 was diagnosed with PE, the past year has been difficult and long and knowing I was on blood thinners adoxaban forever as the heamotogist advised originally in January 23 was killing me, as I have heard that blood thinners are rat poison and can get internal bleeding.

microblading
I need advice on whether eyebrow microblading is safe if taking 10 mg Rivaroxiban daily. Therapist won’t do it if you are on blood thinners unless deemed safe by a doctor. Does anyone know?

Alternative to Naproxen
Good morning all, hope you are coping well. I recently had surgery for Spinal Stenosis in my lower back, but on coming out of hospital developed a dvt in my leg. Due to this blood clot I have been put on Rivaroxaban (blood thinners). Because of this blood thinner I have had to come off of Naproxen (

Eliquis and surgery
I will have to go off my Eliquis for several days prior to having surgery on one of my eyes. I am terrified that I may go into AF while off it. Has anyone had to go off their anticoagulant for surgery and had AF without it causing a stroke?

blood tests
hi lovely people, I was wondering if you could give me any advice. I’m relatively new to all of this and I’ve had a very bad experience at my last hospital. I was misdiagnosed most of last year with Complex Regional Pain disease. My rheumatologist wouldn’t even consider an autoimmune disease. Anyway

Hernia operation with permanent AF and apixaban as blood thinner. How can I minimise the dangers?
Has anybody else with permanent AF and who is on apixaban or similar faced treatment for an inguinal hernia as I have a number of serious concerns? I had a right sided hernia over a decade over when I was just taking aspirin and had mild paroxysmal AF, so I stopped the aspirin for the op which was of
