Over the top life stress causing symptoms after heart blockage
I’ve been suspecting that I may have a couple different things, including Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, because of my continued chest pain & heart symptoms (one month post a 70% ventricular block and stent) and because of the extremely stressful things I’ve been dealing with. What treatments have you been

Vitamin D, Fish Oil and NOACS?
Hi folks. On GP advice, and following the example of many lovely people on this forum, I take Vitamin D as one of my daily supplements. (The others are Vitamin C and Magnesium). I'm also taking Apixaban and other meds for BP and AF. I've noticed on the Vitamin D container label it says that the Vitamin

Any advice gratefully recieved..Bronchiectasis exacerbation?
Good Morning all, just wanted to seek some help from those in the know ( albeit not medically trained). Mum is 94, started going downhill 8 weeks or so ago, tired, more short of breath than normal and sputum hard to clear and change of colour. Started her Co-amoxiclav but 8 days on no improvement so

bleeding after hyperbaric oxygen therapy
I had prostate cancer and prostate removed late 2018, 6 months later had 35 rounds of radiation in prostate bed because PSA was rising. All was ok until October 2022 when I had a heart attack. Cardiologist put me on blood thinners and 3 weeks later I had severe hematuria and had to be hospitalized.

Reined in by rehab - what's going on?
Quick background - I had a large atrial septal defect diagnosed in December and have been referred for surgical closure, which should be in the next few months. I have had no symptoms from the ASD - been cycling, running and bootcamping, then skiing in January. Obviously my heart isn't 'normal' but

recent Covid infection and sle activity
hello everyone! So I’ve had sle since I was 13- it was rough then but then it was mild all along. I tested positive for Covid about 3 days ago - annoying sore throat, congestion and body aches, now feeling better but I’m starting to feel like my joints, specially my elbow and knees are aching. I’m

Bruising?
I have been taking Eliquis for more than 8 years for my AFib. Because the drug is a "blood thinner" I have been prone to moderate bruising, especially in the arms, whenever I work in the yard or accidently knock into something. Six months ago my MO switched me from Nubequa to Zytiga plus prednisone.

My thyroid function has improved since the stroke with Tsh going up from 0.02 (during the anticoagulant treatment with Apixaban and various injections and formulation taken because of severe side effects of these
anticoagulants
) to 0.67 after changing to Gingko Biloba as a natural blood thinner.

Dr appt updates
Saw my pulmonologist on Tues. “Why haven’t you been using your Cpap?” Me: “Sometimes I feel claustrophobic and it’s hard to breathe. I also have had shortness of breath since I had Covid last June after coming home from our trip.” This led her to have me do a 6 minute walking test - my oxygen didn’t

Taking part in Watchman trial to establish if it’s safe to come off anti-coagulants like Apixaban
I volunteered to do this as part of a world wide trial covering 3000 patients to assess the reduction in stroke risk from this procedure compared to taking modern
anticoagulants
like Apixaban over the long term. 1500 will have Watchman 1500 will be in the control group and continue with

hello I’m probably a bit thick but I know nothing about cannabis oil or gummies !! Never heard of them! Are they legal in the Uk? Are thus using good? I use pregabalin and codeine can cannabis be used in conjunction with these drugs are they any benefits? Would they react with blood thinner? Ie Apixaban

Stopping bleeding
Evening all. (In my best Dixon of Dock Green voice)I cut myself while shaving today. As in pre-afib days I stuck a piece of tissue on it, but it took about an hour to stop bleeding. It was just a nick so there wasn't really much blood, but I was surprised that it didn't stop sooner. I'm on Eliquis 5mg

Pains
Hi, I was diagnosed with PA a year ago. I've got a vibrating in my feet like a mobile phone on vibrate, is this normal. Also just received my b12 injection and I've been in agony with my legs especially and my other joints. When I wake in the morning my hands are numb. Has anyone else suffered this.
