Managing asthma while reducing steroids
I recently caught a cold and I’ve been really congested with sinus and chest infection 😩 , lost my sense of smell and taste too (not COVID), so doc gave me a week’s supply of
antibiotics
(on top of the Azithromycin I take 3 times a week). The doctor also gave me 5 days of pred.

THYROID PEROXIDASE ANTIBODIES
After a visit to the GP she was prescribed penicillin (
antibiotics
). After about 3 or 4days of taking the meds the swelling went down, but her hair started to fall out. She stopped taking the meds straight away and went back to her GP who ordered numerous blood tests.

Esomeprasole
I was changed to esomeprasole after a test showed I had H Pylori and was given
antibiotics
which gave me very bad chest pains from the reflux for months and Lanzoprazol didn't seem to be helping.

The problem I am having with all this is having to stop methotrexate & nifedipine while on
antibiotics
, (I had a bad reaction with
antibiotics
& amlodipine before - dropped my blood pressure drastically).

The battle lost!!
So we started his
antibiotics
and paracetamol whilst encouraging his fluids. However, his output improved, his temperature seemed to resolve but his overall sleeping increased. His speech seem less and less coherent as the week progressed. The look in his eyes had changed.

The joy of the unclear diagnosis 😂
regimen has been as follows: INHALERS Seretide 125/25 (could probably reduce to 50/25 to be honest, the long acting beta agonist has been the most useful bit of this) Atrovent inhaler TABLETS NACSYS 600 OTHER Hypertonic saline nasal spray Hypertonic saline nebuliser solution Aerobika device

No, rare Whipple’s disease isn't the underlying cause of my functional bowel problems (FGID) and other, all over the body symptoms.
Also because I felt well while taking systemic
antibiotics
(penicilline or tetracycline) and became sick again after the courses of
antibiotics
stopped. For me this is an indication that it is microbiome/bacteria related.

AF rears it’s ugly head again
I was given a course of steroids and
antibiotics
. The Dr who examined me also said I had a heart murmur? This was news to me? Or is it the same thing as eptopics?

Strike 3 but not out!
I felt calmer than on the previous two occasions but still had a slight niggle as I wasn't 100% and had just started a course of
antibiotics
for a chest infection.

I may have Lyme but I ain't no Lemon!
I am now on a second course of
antibiotics
and my Dr. is treating me for Lyme and believes it is Lyme. The same Dr. that thought I had PMR. Rheumatologist still not convinced. I had an appt. with Rheumatologist through the week but now put back to the end of November.

I need to take Augmentin - Has anyone used this without issues?
I have an infection with very few options right now. I had a bad reaction to Trimethoprim and Doxycycline when I tried them (prior to taking high dose b12 and realizing I had a b12 deficiency). My side effects for both was intense burning and tingling. So, now I need to take something.... Augmentin

Drug interactions/conflicts
Hi everyone I am Coeliac and also have Essential Thrombocythemia for which I take Hydroxycarbamide. Amongst the many side effects from HC my regular blood tests have shown me to be borderline anaemic and my regular GP has monitored this for years - checking kidney & liver function, and also on Folate
