NHS ECV PCR tests still functioning?
Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone knows if the PCR kits the ECV groups were sent are still functioning? Myself and Mum were sent them many months back and are both feeling very poorly currently. We have had 3 negative lft tests and the gp has given us two courses of antibiotic for ear / chest infections

Aspergillosis and Hyperinflated lungs.
After a few days I consulted the Dr and he prescribed
Antibiotics
. However I still kept coughing. I went back after finishing the last dose of Amoxicillan. He then gave me Doxycycline which again had no effect on me.

Just when I thought I was out of the woods along comes multiple bouts of pneumonia requiring several rounds of
antibiotics
and more than one trip to the emergency room. Here I am now on Thanksgiving on a break from chemo and building up my strength for a cryoablation procedure.

Can’t believe it!
I now have broken ribs and that is hell with the covid cough but because I have been trying not to cough and everything is static in the lungs, I now have a secondary lung infection and a stash of
antibiotics
.

Advice on lung clearance devices please
My GP supplies me with Carbocisteine and Salbutamol, plus rescue packs of
antibiotics
for the flare ups. I bought a 'non branded' 'lung expansion and mucus relief device' off the internet, and feel that this has helped.

B12 & folate
I am self injecting more regularly due to recent illness & I need to keep both levels optimal as I’m on
antibiotics
. Does more b12 impact folate levels? Thanks 😊

Blood mixed sputum not going away, have bronchiectasis
I had visited two days before to the doctor as I was having a bronch exacerbation. When I mentioned blood, he gave tranexamic acid 500mg which is an anti fibrinolytic. Rest of the medicines are inhalers, septra ds antibiotic, etc Despite of taking tranexamic the sputum is still red or rusty and the

German pharmacies and ordering
She had already prescribed
antibiotics
which didn't work. I had to see her before I could have more. She also checked for blood results which I hadn't been told about and found I was iron deficient (surprise surprise...not) .

Chronic anxiety
After going to hospital for gastritis I came home and was very poorly due to
antibiotics
etc. My thyroid went out of kilter which is settling down again. I am on the Thyroid forum too. Anyway my anxiety flared up in a way I've never experienced.

Finally received Endo diagnosis following laparoscopy... advice/support for next steps please!
Tried all sorts of
antibiotics
but this is yet to be cleared up, my doctors, 111 and the hospital are all leading me round in circles which is really effecting my mental health after the operation itself. Did anyone else have something similar to them following surgery at all?

Feeling Really down
Was given two lots of
antibiotics
and sent home. Spoke to my lovely lady GP a few days later as I felt so dreadful and went to see her. She was fuming that I'd been sent home with a diagnosis of heart failure and no treatment plan.

Constipation. A smooth number two makes my day!
It is genetic and also, I believe, due to high doses of
antibiotics
as a child. In essence, my digestion is skewed and it is hard for an easy number two! I also have a bloating belly and feel digestion grew more complicated taking senna tablets long term.

Fit 50 year old
It took 3 weeks and 2 courses of
antibiotics
to clear. After the infection cleared I was left really short breathed after I exercised. The doctor said it was post infection lung inflammation and gave me a 10 day course of steroids. 5 weeks later still no improvement.

Controlling the Nasties
As I’ve had such a bad year trying to get rid of pseudomonas etc, and on lots of
antibiotics
, my consultant decided that I should take 1 Azithromycin every day indefinitely (the usual dose is 2 a day).

Struggling with Bronchiectasis
I’ve had seven chest infections which have finally cleared up and I have not had to have
antibiotics
for two months. Unfortunately I have developed a very bad wheezing at night time which is causing terrible sleep issues. It’s still there during the day but intermittent and I can ignore it.
