ER Doc further messed up my back?
On Tuesday gone by I went the ER here in Nova Scotia. During his exam, the doctor manipulated my legs up and down and had me press feet, etc. to test strength, which he said was good. My lower back has been an issue since January 2023 and a long time prior to that. Because I had lost some continence

To cochlear implant or not to cochlear implant?
I continue to be on IV
antibiotics
through a central line, and because I have abscesses in my brain from the infection, they do not want to put me on blood thinners yet and risk a brain bleed. We have an MRI next week to see if the infection and abscesses are cleared.

Adult daughter refusing to speak to us
(She has had a lot of recent UTI's and been on a lot of
antibiotics
which might contribute.) She is also undergoing therapy for past sexual assaults and trauma going back to her teen years.

SIBO and RLS
I just found out I have Small Intestine Bacteria Overgrowth (SIBO) and am on two
antibiotics
. In some research regarding SIBO, there weee some studies that states a correlation between RLS and SIBO.

Lost faith in the medical profession. Bacterial meningitis.
They called a different consultant who did an assessment and immediately put me on iv
antibiotics
and did more blood tests along with asking for further tests from the CSF from the lumbar puncture.

My kidney history
I am now 49 and I must admit they have got less but I have times when I don’t feel right and send in a sample and end up on
antibiotics
for 7 days (3 days never clears it) I do home dip sticks and often have protein in my wee and leukocytes show up. My GFR has never been above 70.

Daughter’s lung biopsy
Antibiotics
do seem to do the trick, sometimes given steroids if the infection causes her asthma to flair up. She’s getting an infection roughly every 2 to 3 months, chest physio not really reducing them, though I don’t think she sterilises her equipment like she should when at university.

Increased Prednisolone but still aching badly …..
I was also on high levels of
antibiotics
(penicillin) for 8 weeks. Thankfully my shoulder has now healed well but I’m struggling with bad IBS because of the
antibiotics
and feel I’m still definitely having a PMR flare.

Anyone know where a copy of this particular IC diet is online?
I wish it was given to me years ago before all the unnecessary pain/bleeding/drs visits/investigations/blood & urine tests/useless physio exercises/hospital Emergency Department visits/Cystoscopies, and stupid procedures like bladder distensions and years of permanent
antibiotics
that didn't do anything

Just an update
wanted to see me at 9.15am, i said that I get out of breath just moving from room to room let alone attempting to get washed and dressed and getting to the surgery in under half an hour, She got a little testy at that and said what do you want me to do then, I suggested that I have another course of
