Methane SIBO
I have been diagnosed with methane sibo by a private gastroenterologist and treated with several rounds of
antibiotics
. These would clear out symptoms well but they would return in few month. My gastroenterologist suggested staying on Rifaximin bit I don't think it is the best way forward.

I figured out how to tolerate antibiotics (trimethoprim in this case) without huge neuropathic pain flare!! (for real this time!)
:) I had tried the combiation of Benfotiamine, B12, methyl folate, NAC, and ALCAR prior to R-ALA but it did not prevent the neuropathic pain with
antibiotics
or Hiprex.

reduced mobility
As soon as he was on
antibiotics
his walk with the frame would improve. Now he has no catheter and no infection his mobility suddenly reduced. His legs become wobbly and can’t put any weight on them. He just crumbles down after a few draggy steps. He is ok otherwise.

Any one else have tinnitus after taking the antibiotic Clarithromycin?
I should have never retook the
antibiotics
but I had wanted to know if I was really allergic to them. Now I know I am but I may have ruined my hearing forever….

still not diagnosed but concerned about IBS
I started an
antibiotics
course (one week) Doxycycline on 24 April 2023 for throat infection and fever,as soon I finish it, I started having diarrhoea. That time I was in very stress and depression for another reason. It's been almost over 9 months now.

recurrent UTIs in child
No more that 7 days between
antibiotics
. She’s now on a prophylactic dose of trimethoprim and STILL they come back with in a week. It’s taking its toll on the whole family now. Has anyone had this? What was the outcome?

In so much pain and feeling poorly
Then I had all the symptoms of a UTI (again) and got some
antibiotics
yesterday. The receptionist wanted to make me an appoinment with a physio for my back but I insisted I couldn't even contemplate exercises without some pain relief first.

Steroids
I was down to 3mg and doing ok but have got another chest infection (3rd one since starting Baracitinib in April) so back on
antibiotics
. I understand I need to up the steroids whilst up to 10mg whilst unwell but if that’s only for a week, can I then go back down to 3mg again?

T3/T4 combo issues
I would say that due to the many many UTIs I’ve suffered I’ve been on an immense amount of
antibiotics
over the years and my gut is probably a little delicate and I’ve been referred to a gastroenterologist but heaven knows how long that will take.

SIBO!!! But fearing taking antibiotics, especially Neomicyn… I’ve heard of terrible side effects ( tinnitus and hearing loss).
It may be sensible to consider treatment with non-absorbable
antibiotics
. If you would like to consider
antibiotics
, I would suggest a combination of both RIFAXIMIN and NEOMYCIN for a total of 7 days." Have any of you tried them? Advice? results? THANK YOU> 🙏🙏

This, that, all?
So yes, plenty of
antibiotics
over the years. Urology have ruled out anything urological causing it. Cystoscopy is clear. Waiting on gynae now. I read somewhere that there can be a link with uti's too? So...

Physiotherapy helping T
Whilst some
antibiotics
gave temporary relief, nothing resolved the deafness. Thinking the issue was an impacted tooth, I saw my dentist who did an orthopanograph. No my teeth were fine. She then stuck her finger in my mouth and wedged it up next to my top right teeth and pushed upwards.

Prostatitis advice
He took saw palmetto for a few weeks before this current course of
antibiotics
which seemed to improve flow a little some days, but not consistently. We're in the UK. PSA over the year has varied between 5 and 10, and the last test a couple of months ago was around 7.

He fortunately recovered following 2 doses of
antibiotics
. We had to cancel our holiday to the Lake District in the UK and claimed on our years Travel Insurance with StaySure and got most of our money back! We now have a planned a holiday to N America: Chicago, Michigan, Indianapolis and Boston.

is this likely to be late radiation damage? Blood in urine.
GP has given me
antibiotics
to kick things off and then in a few days will do more referrals as required depending on what symptoms are left. Obviously I firstly assumed I had bladder mets.
