Methane SIBO
I have been diagnosed with methane sibo by a private gastroenterologist and treated with several rounds of
antibiotics
. These would clear out symptoms well but they would return in few month. My gastroenterologist suggested staying on Rifaximin bit I don't think it is the best way forward.

Any one else have tinnitus after taking the antibiotic Clarithromycin?
I should have never retook the
antibiotics
but I had wanted to know if I was really allergic to them. Now I know I am but I may have ruined my hearing forever….

Steroids
I was down to 3mg and doing ok but have got another chest infection (3rd one since starting Baracitinib in April) so back on
antibiotics
. I understand I need to up the steroids whilst up to 10mg whilst unwell but if that’s only for a week, can I then go back down to 3mg again?

reduced mobility
As soon as he was on
antibiotics
his walk with the frame would improve. Now he has no catheter and no infection his mobility suddenly reduced. His legs become wobbly and can’t put any weight on them. He just crumbles down after a few draggy steps. He is ok otherwise.

I figured out how to tolerate antibiotics (trimethoprim in this case) without huge neuropathic pain flare!! (for real this time!)
:) I had tried the combiation of Benfotiamine, B12, methyl folate, NAC, and ALCAR prior to R-ALA but it did not prevent the neuropathic pain with
antibiotics
or Hiprex.

Latest 14 day trial.
I have had it tested and been prescribed
antibiotics
so many times I can tell. My white blood cell count is now within range. I do wonder if my body is now not attacking me and that is the result of the normal white blood cell count.

recurrent UTIs in child
No more that 7 days between
antibiotics
. She’s now on a prophylactic dose of trimethoprim and STILL they come back with in a week. It’s taking its toll on the whole family now. Has anyone had this? What was the outcome?

He came home with a PICC line and I am giving him IV push
antibiotics
3 times a day, for a total of 6 weeks. He'll be on oral
antibiotics
for 4 wks after that. He also takes Calquence twice a day.

Colomycin
I'm desperate for the Colomycin to work to prevent me requiring frequent intravenous
antibiotics
. Has anyone experienced this, or have any advice and tips, I would greatly appreciate it. Sorry the post is so long. Thank you.

Feeling a little invalidated
I had acute exacerbation of asthma and needed more
antibiotics
and steroids. Anyway. It’s two weeks later and I have another week off. Hopefully I will be able to go back on MTX and then begin a new biologic (long story) before I go back to work. I’m still feeling a bit chesty though.

Antibiotics and migraine
I've had a bad throat infection and was given
antibiotics
(the generic penicillin type). I've had a shocking migraine since starting taking the
antibiotics
(3 days ago). No sleep and have now lost appetite. Triptan didn't do anything at all.

still not diagnosed but concerned about IBS
I started an
antibiotics
course (one week) Doxycycline on 24 April 2023 for throat infection and fever,as soon I finish it, I started having diarrhoea. That time I was in very stress and depression for another reason. It's been almost over 9 months now.

Prostatitis advice
He took saw palmetto for a few weeks before this current course of
antibiotics
which seemed to improve flow a little some days, but not consistently. We're in the UK. PSA over the year has varied between 5 and 10, and the last test a couple of months ago was around 7.

Health Insurance Advice
He fortunately recovered following 2 doses of
antibiotics
. We had to cancel our holiday to the Lake District in the UK and claimed on our years Travel Insurance with StaySure and got most of our money back! We now have a planned a holiday to N America: Chicago, Michigan, Indianapolis and Boston.
