Recurrence?
My husband was diagnosed in 2017, with PSA 48.74 Gleason 8 (3+5), I think Stage T2a. We were told it was not operable, so he completed 42 rounds of direct radiation and then started Lupron shots every three months, the last dose was in September 2021 I think. All this brought PSA down to <0.06 but yesterday

Cured after LU177
My brother-in-law had prostate cancer in his bones with a PSA in the hundreds. He went to Germany and had two treatments of LU177. He came back to the US, had a scan, and says he is now cured. Is that possible?

PSA Question
I updated my husbands profile to show his PSA went from -- 2.08 in January to... 1.73 in February 1.77 in March 1.78 in April His next test is 6/6. It has never gotten lower than 1.24 back in December of 2022. Is it normal for some people to not have an extremely low PSA? He

Good news
Hi folks - just thought I would inform of some good news here. Just got the latest blood results - Psa is down to 0.09 from the previous two readings which were static at 0.1. I dont read anything into that since I consider such small changes are not significant. But for the second time a 3 month period

Has anyone had a bi-lateral orchidectomy with no prescribed medications? If so, what happened to your PSA? Thanks

Have not done anything but watch my psa slowly rise for the last 14 years. Then 3 months ago psa got to 5.5 and a psma pet scan

I recently updated to ask about chemo options, mainly cabazitaxel with or without carboplatin, or a second round of docetaxel, this time with carboplatin. I had been discussing these with my Mayo doctors, Kwon and Orme. Then earlier this week, Dr. Orme phoned me to report that after another genetic

CDK12
I am curious to know how treatments are going with the few men who harbor CDK12 mutations. My husband has this mutation. He is in year 6 from diagnosis. 2017 he had Prostate removed … Gleason 8… clear margins at time of surgery. 6 months later PSA began to rise. He was put on Casodex/Lupron and had 39

Odd ways of discovering you had PCa
I went to the doctor for a rash on my hands and feet. Doctor gave me a physical, and a battery of blood tests. Couldn't figure out why hands and feet getting raw. PSA returned as 9, had RALP the next month. Ironically rash disappeared after surgery. 9 months ago, rash came back, my PSA hit 0.2 then

Immunology clinical trial vs. Radiation?
Surgery in 2009, biochemical recurrence beginning 2017, and my slow-rising PSA is now up to 0.63, although my overall doubling time has remained pretty consistently over 2 years on average. My MO has a clinical trial in Phase I using a Listeria monocytogenes based vaccine, which supposedly seeks out

sudden stop in PSA decline
I‘ve been doing IADT, and started relugolix in December 2022, with PSA 7.48, and each monthly PSA decline since then was significant and reassuring. Here’s the history: December 7.48 January 0.94 February 0.49 March 0.24 April 0.09 [i]

physio
I have been designated a RA physio …. What !!! I hear you shout. Yes could have blown me down with a feather thought they were extinct. She was lovely and understood me completely. Appointment was an hour and a half . I’m having multiple problems but she asked what I would like to concentrate on first
