30 months with PCA - experiences with ADT, Docetaxel, Xtandi / Nubeqa, Provenge and experimental immunotherapy trial.
Hi, I posted for the first time on this forum after my father (59) was diagnosed with stage IV prostate cancer in November of 2019. I want to share our progress in this fight so far so that it can be added to the repository and used by others down the line to make informed decisions about treatment

Orgovyx and estradiol?
Howdy all, been following some discussions here about using estradiol patches with ADT and I was wondering if anyone is using estradiol with Orgovyx. I've been on Orgovyx for over 7 months now and my PSA has been undetectable so far and I feel I'm tolerating it well. See my profile for my full treatment

Rank Neutraceuticals / Off-Label Drugs By Most Likely Most Beneficial
I'm curious about the opinions of members here on how they would currently rank Neutraceutical and off-label use drugs in order of highest benefit potential (most confirming clinical trial evidence combined with actual therapeutic or synergistic therapeutic effect) in slowing/stopping PCa progression

Hi It’s been 4 years since my last contact with this site (though I view it daily). Over that time my PSA has been slowly, but surely, edging up. My history in brief is dx Dec2013 with PSA 5.1 G9Tb3 PNI ECE. Had 78gy of radiation therapy early in 2014 and 3 years on Lupron (finished Feb/2017). No

Intermittent secondary ADT
I'm currently taking Xtandi while waiting to start a CAR-T trial. Due to the way scheduling is working out, I'm starting and stopping Xtandi three times. It occurs to me that this might have a benefit similar to Bipolar Androgen Therapy, where it might delay resistance to Xtandi and kill more of the

Does this sound like NePCA?
Last ct scan was 6 months ago it was clear but psa was on the rise. Over the next few months psa rose to 7.2 and then back to 6.6 6 weeks ago. My father recently had a pace maker fitted and chest X-ray revealed a couple of spots. Was sent for ct scan getting results this week. Hx diagnosed 2018 with

PSADT is 6 months
My PSA increased from 0.19 to 0.3 in just 6 weeks. My MO is scheduling a PSMA pet to see if the cancer is localized or metastatic. I will most likely start ADT or ADT+. Recommendation are welcomed.

When should ADT be given with SBRT?, Some SBRT news, looking at Radiosensitizers in Prostate Cancer treatment
Greetings FPC folk, It has been months since my last post, and I thought I would post something near to my situation and pick your brains on the issues... I am nearing the end of my 20 month vacation as my PSA has risen to about 0.7 now, and I had a Pylarify scan showing one lesion so I remain oligometastatic

Current Consensus on Metformin and Berberine?
I've been studying Metformin (not Berberine, yet). My conclusion reading all the latest studies, especially the large meta-studies, is that evidence is weak on Metformin having a significant positive effect BY ITSELF. There appears to be significant evidence it has a positive effect when used synergistically

Can Testosterone go down during ADT break?
Some one in a posting in Facebook mentioned that during ADT break his PSA is going up, but his testosterone is going down. Can this really happen? In my case First break 2/26/20 to 8/28/20 6 month point T=114, PSA: 0.14 9 month point T = 147, PSA: 0.45 Second break 6/2/21 - 6 month point T=28, PSA

Anal sex after LDR brachy
Am posting because I've seen various posts and questions about anal sex after radiotherapy (and prostatectomy), some of which were positive experiences, others not. I think it's an important issue to relay experiences about. I had LDR brachytherapy four days into the new year, and wrote all about it

DHEA and Pregnenolone
A recent visit to a MD in general practice who was interested in administering injections of Testosterone decided to wait and prescribed DHEA and Pregnenolone and MSM instead. His blood test did show these to be low. Also, in this blood test it showed the hormon estrogen to be low. I am not sure I want

Triplet Systemic Therapy for low volume mCSPC
Hi everyone, first a big thanks to this group for all the input. I’m incredibly grateful for tons of input, the latest PSMA scans, and excellent medical advice. Passing this along for anyone else on this path. The very recent ARASENS trial results helped me finalize treatment plans for low volume

Question about weight lifting while on anti testosterone therapy.
I was placed of abiraterone and ADT 6 months ago. I am an avid exerciser so I have not experienced any fatigue but I think I was noticing mild weakness. I decided to start weight lifting. My question is: Do I expect to get stronger or just slow the deterioration.

The Starting Dose of Levothyroxine in Primary Hypothyroidism Treatment
This paper compared patients started on a calculated full replacement dose of levothyroxine against starting at 25 micrograms and incrementing every four weeks. Since this paper - and others - the idea of starting on full replacement dose has permeated the guidelines in several countries. Unfortunately

Second Guessing Surgery Decision
I'm posting this in the Advanced PCa forum as this involves potentially assuming I'm going to need to deal with Advanced Prostate Cancer. The problem with treatment decisions is no one ever knows at your early stage if you have micrometastases outside your prostate. My biopsy results, 2 months ago

I HAVE HUNG UP MY RUNNING SHOES
It is approaching nine years since I discovered C25k and subsequently this forum and the combination of the two changed my life in more positive ways than I could ever imagine. From a 57 year old who thought that running might be a lesser necessary evil than heading off to the gym to maintain stamina

Four Year Transdermal Estradiol Update
Well, it's been four years since I started applying transdermal estradiol gel (tE2) as my mono-therapy and I'm quite happy with the results. My SOLE side effect is some degree of gynecomastia which is a 'small price to pay to keep the PC at bay'! Just a brief history, and yet another 'boob' pic (taken
