How to taper off 15mg Lansoprazole
Hi I have been on lansoprazole for about 2.5 months now and about to try come off them. I am on 15mg. I've started by taking one and then missing one the next day then taking another but I've already got acid reflux and this is only the second one I've missed. Do I need to do it slower? The docs said

Hydroxychloroquine toxic retinopathy
Hi. I have had Lupus for 22 years and been on Hydroxychloroquine 400mg daily since then plus 2mg Prednisolone. Recent eye tests have shown that the Hydroxy is affecting the retina. I was warned at the outset, that it can affect eyes, but it still a bit of a shock. Opthamology Consultant says I must

Eliquis and surgery
I will have to go off my Eliquis for several days prior to having surgery on one of my eyes. I am terrified that I may go into AF while off it. Has anyone had to go off their anticoagulant for surgery and had AF without it causing a stroke?

Short episode for tonight. Mum's life has not always followed a smooth course and she has never been one to complain. It was only after several months of poor vision that she finally went to the optician only to discover too late that she had a badly detached retina. She was quickly admitted to hospital

loose poops daily
Hey All! I’m so glad I found this group. 40yr male. For about three weeks I’ve had loose BMs in the morning. Visited naturopath, blood work looks great, had an abdominal CT looks great but it doesn’t matter what I do. I have scheduled a colonoscopy but I’m honestly freaking out. The stool used to

Cotreatment with dichloroacetate and omeprazole exhibits a synergistic antiproliferative effect on malignant tumors
As a follow up to my last post I found this on DCA / Omeprazole. like myself, please treat this as information , not promoting any treatments. For me I find reading and learning about my cancer and possible treatments to be uplifting and gives me hope. To be honest something I never get from my doctor

Constipation
It seems like every 2 weeks there are more facets to this problem. I take Miralax every day, Colace every other day - drink constantly - and now I have huge BM feelings and go to the bathroom and feel like I''ve accomplished something - then I look and it is not at all what it felt like - smallish,

Potential biochemical recurrence post radical prostatectomy, looking for perspective on the outcomes and treatments.
63-year old Male, months shy of 5-year mark of the radical prostatectomy, showed PSA of .08 in January then .07 in March. Originally had up to Gleason 9’s. I know it’s not technically a recurrence until .2, and doubling time is the next variable to look out for. But what else should we keep in mind

How long to wait for trabeculectomy?
I'm wondering how long people have waited for a trabeculectomy operation, once they have been told they need one, either through NHS or going private? I'm asking because when I saw my consultant ( privately) in Feb he said that the visual fields test showed there was some deterioration ( normal tension

Drugs Tariffs in news
Short item on news today about how pharmacies are “subsidising” prescription costs. No doubt the reason for pharmacists not having items in stock. One pharmacist was losing£1500 per month and he explained that offering other services such as injections, ear wax removal etc was the means of making a living
